Hi Amber! Your designs are beautiful! I am wondering if you have a recipe for chocolate royal icing? If chocolate royal icing is an actual thing? I’m not sure if the fat in the cocoa would break down the proteins in the egg whites or cause weird grease stains. I’m by no means a scientist or professional pastry chef, but I have been schooling myself every day since COVID started. If you, or anyone else could answer my question I would greatly appreciate it ❤

I have a recipe for it in my book Cookie Canvas! But you’re right, chocolate royal icing is harder to work with but it’s delicious and worth the trouble! ☺️

@@Sweetambs I have a question. What type of cocoa powder do you recommend? I used your recipe for chocolate royal icing yesterday from Cookie Canvas. I used Dutch process cocoa which is my preferred cocoa. It looks like it set up, but when I went to press on it my fingers left an indent. I’m going to try again later. I will use my Ghirardelli Majestic cocoa powder instead of the Cocoa Barry Extra Brute that I used originally.

Thank you!! I use FooDoodler brand markers most of them time but when I need a super fine line I use Rainbow Dust brand ☺️

I see how you flood in sections. How long do you wait to do the section beside one that is already finished to get the 'invisible' lines showing the markings of tge pumpkin. Also, do you use only one consistency to outline and flood?

I let it dry for about 20 minutes in front of a fan. Yes flood consistency for both ☺️
