@Adolf Schinkler I think she explained somewhere that she listens to a lot of songs with that word in it to make it sort of a regular word she hears and not a bad one. If it’s not bad, her brain doesn’t throw it out as a tic. Loose explanation, but close enough.

I applaud her as well, and as someone with an Asperger's diagnosis, was 35 when I got my clinicians diagnosis, and finally a better understanding and acceptance of myself, that my own highly developed sense of self awareness could not provide. I'm wanting to do these kind of videos to break stigmas, and provide acceptance as well as awareness. Sweet Anita if you ever was interested in a conversation with someone on the spectrum (ASD) who struggles with "social appropriateness" when I say , "Bitches love that" in response to anything my brain is trying to process but I can't verbalize my exact thoughts and do my own kind of ticks....I know whistle and do the bubble pop sound and it soothes in such a way I related to when I have to self stim)scratch my head when I'm anxious

I went to a specialist, where they diagnosed me with tourettes, and then kinda tried to learn me how to keep ticks from happening But the more I did that, the worse it got and the more it was exactly like this part in the video. I would love to see the similarities with Tourettes, OCD and ADHD. I know they can come together. ADHD is more of a easily distraction to me it is, I can be focused on one thing and loose it in an instant,I also can’t sit or stand stand still, I would pace around the house and shake my leg or tap my fingers. ADHD is annoying to deal with, and no I’m not on meds cause it’s not on the spectrum of severe it’s mostly involuntary things that I do that triggers it. Another thing is that I can focus like really focus on something and not loose idk my ADHD is weird. But if there’s a challenge that’s similar to these but meant for people who have ADHD I would love to see Edit: I also have a probelm fidgeting with somethings

As if she hadn't posted several videos around a scary stalker situation? This woman is simply being hyped for no reason. @@Dualities You do have to consider that whatever's on KZbin are _highlights_ from Twitch, and/or random videos like this one. And since Tourette's plays a huge part of her life, I'm not surprised that theres a focus on it. I don't think it's too much, especially since there _is_ an audience for it, and people with Tourette's and other disorders can look up to her and understand that it's not impossible to get somewhere in life even with severe restrictions. And with the whole simping thing, from what I've found, part of it is her humor, and the other part of it is that this type of behavior is how she'd been treated throughout her life, so of course that facet is going to leak into one content one way or another. I'm not saying that you don't have any points, but I really don't think that she's trying to fake Tourette's for views. Especially since she was abused by her own household for it and wasn't diagnosed until mid- late-twenties-and her childhood probably why her particular case is to the extreme that it is. Anthony Padilla did a video on it.

While watching this, I was thinking about how it sounds a lot like my experience with OCD, which made sense since research is suggesting that it seems to be linked to the nervous system. I have control of my physical actions, so it's not the same... although fear often overrules that control. What I didn't realize until just now is that symptoms of OCD may be part of a spectrum of neurological disorders, such as Tourette's. Apparently, about 60% of people who Tourette's have reported OCD symptoms. I didn't realize they were so connected!

That's interesting! Bc I've recent been diagnosed with Tourettes in the past year. I don't have a severe case so sometimes I will get a break from them for about a month (I obviously don't choose when it happens). After a break, my tics usually hit a little harder. ANYWAYS, when my body stopped giving tics, I noticed my mind slowly replaced them. I started counting, badly. No matter where I looked, or where I was, I was always counting. So when I went back to the doctors many months later. I was also diagnosed with counting OCD. Then my body just combined them together. The counting never stops, but my tics are like a roller coaster. Up and down constantly.

I’m glad to hear another person with OCD make that connection, I’m sure sometimes I look to an outside person like i’ve got Tourette’s- when I don’t. I’ve just got ocd and it’s making me tap things in a certain pattern for no apparent reason, pop my mouth so my lips don’t feel weird, and make a click every time I breath because that’s how I’ve always done it and I feel like I’m suffocating if I don’t. As I’m typing this it’s hard to get it down because I keep backspacing :’) It’s really interesting to see how connected it all truly is! The brain doesn’t care about perfectly fitting into our neat little categorizations

I mean why wouldn't she. it makes her money. or bullshit like oh her stream is making her do it...lmao she could turn it off anytime but why would she when it such a good content farm with her "condition". well all have thoughts but only she have ticks ok sure. her ability to control thought is inconsistent, especially when it comes to simping. people have no idea how popular playing victim is. or all the false accusations that happened in the last few months. there are real victims who need hep...but there are also people who play victims.

It's worth note somewhere that a complex brain is an expensive organ to keep up. It's why predators tend to be more intelligent than herbivores... Proteins are on an order of 10 times the energy value in relation to vegetation, and so the carnivorous diet can power a higher complexity brain... SO apparently, from her explanation of how the tic's work, it's a hyper-activity in her brain (theoretically)... Like how she talked about looking to access things only related to A or apple, but the Tourettes just runs around crashing into everything related to A... "I'm trying for a straight line of thought, and instead of that, my brain just sends the electricity everywhere." SO it WOULD be exhausting to trigger so many tic's in rapid succession like that, and she literally needs to take a minute and let it all settle down... catch her breath. The brain can't just run on glucose alone. It also NEEDS oxygen... ;o)

And the way you mimic stuff is amazing. Every tic involving a whistle, pop, or the SatNav voice is perfect each time. 10:36 as an autistic person, I resonate with this so much. Explaining wHy it's hard for me to have a conversation with someone (and not talking 'next to' them / in their general direction) is like driving -- where I have to focus on "is my body language right?" "What is my face doing?" "what are my hands doing?" "It's been 3 seconds, I need to make eye-contact." "What were they saying?" "Oh they expect a response from me" and then I can't focus on the conversation... It's just so stressful, and that stress _increases_ with more people or even just background noises or music. But the neurotypicals don't understand, so they think I'm just being dramatic. (Even when I _say_ I'm autistic). It's so exhausting.

I think you are FANTASTIC. You are a living work of art, perfection in every way. Created to show the world something unbelievable and perfect. I don't think you are broken at all...simply wired different and the rest of the people out there just need to get the hell over it. You made me smile. You are so intelligent, well spoken, and have incredible depth of feeling. Ticks or no ticks, you made me laugh and smile at your individuality. Never be anything but the most beautiful creature you are; one of class and style.

Well, it isn't like that, I have it and can kinda try to explain. She's only trying to say what she wants to say in her mind, but everything else just comes out, no control, no nothing, Like no matter how hard you concentrate and try, it's happening it's like somebody is pulling puppet strings and you can't do anything, even when you're focusing and trying not to do it and focusing on saying what you want to say, it's why she keeps stopping midway and going back to try and restart what she was saying, it keeps messing up her train of thought when she's trying to articulate a sentence!
