I highly recommend South Lake Tahoe. It can get very busy in the during this time of the year. There's a lot of outdoor activities that you and kids can do such as the lake, hiking trails, and the night life on the strip. Reno is also an hour away as well. You guys can stop by Sacramento where I'm from and we have a Little Saigon Plaza filled with Vietnamese, Chinese, Lao, and Thai restaurants and market place.
