Sweet gum is kind of a "trash tree" we grow shitake on. This is far from trash. It is high art! Way prettier than a Montblanc. The geometry of the sweetgum pod really works. Reminds me of Kryptek camo. I wonder what other pods would work? I wonder if Welo Opal form Ethiopia would work? Is the opal you are using synthetic?

Yes the opal is what’s called Bello Opal which is the lab created opal. I have some Ethiopian welo opal chips I hope to try in the next pen or two. That will be natural Ethiopians welo on a desire stainless steel fountain kit. It should be neat I hope!
