Jackie Ward did a good job of matching NATALIE WOOD'S speaking voice for the song THE SWEETHEART TREE....although I think the song was simple enough for Natalie to sing it herself.

It's only a movie scene. But in reality I have seen left handed people who play guitar on normal string with the right hand on chord. That could be Hezekiah's case, while Natalie play it the normal way with left hand on chords. That switch between right handed and left handed guitarists is not difficult to do.

I really do hate it when they dub Natalie's voice. She has a nice voice and could have sung this and other films that she was dubbed.

Great song but Hezekiah starts playing it left hand, Natalie picks it up right hand. Unless she could restring a guitar at the speed of light, that's a continuity error. BTW, Natalie was the prettiest actress of her day. 'Nuff said.

It occurs to me that carving your name into a tree isn't a very nice thing to do to a tree! I'm all for kissing the right sweetheart but leave the poor tree alone!
