Joe Issac and David Marshall are true Legends in music. I love them both

I know people love the tenors, but Dave is singing alto? I figure Dave Marshall the best high male singer I've heard in bluegrass so far. Joe is an icon and a hero in music for many. I've listened to several versions of this song, this is the best for me.

Wow!!!!! I was 18 yrs old when we played this show. Wish I still had my copy of this as well as the full head of hair I had back then lol. Joe was like a second father to me & treated me like a son. I learned so much from him that I could never repay him for all the wonderful knowledge & memories he shared with me. Love you Joe & hope your doing well!! I hope to come visit you soon. Your friend in Christ (Hacksaw)

I really love this version, especially Dave's harmony ... and the little yodel he does on the second half of the word "Sweetheart". I've tried to do it, but with no success. I guess I just can't break my voice. Please get Dave to do some more recording.

Crystal Marshall I sang mostly the Marshall Family songs when I got saved in 1975 and my cousin R.M. Randolph met David. We loved Judy and David, not only because they were talented but they sang with the spirit of the Lord. I contacted Judy a few years ago for the the lyrics to a couple of songs, but she couldn't help me. I wonder if you could help me. I'm on Facebook if you could contact me I sure would appreciate it.

Crystal This is Hacksaw. Dave will know the nickname. He gave it to me when I played banjo with him & Joe just before we played this show. Tell him I want to get up with him to record some stuff together. I want to try to get Joe as well & possibly record some stuff we used to do together. Tell Dave I love him & hope to hear from you guys soon.

Dave has always been brilliant as a musician, songwriter & person. I learned so much from him & Joe. God blessed me so very much to be in the right place at the right time. I remember when we used to go down on Monday nights to the Lakeview Inn at Caryville, TN. We'd pick sometimes till 1 or 2 in the morning, then go to the Waffle House have a bite to eat & tell stories. We'd sometimes barely make it back in by 4 am. lol Some of the best times in my life were spent around these two. I wish I had more pictures of us all together. I do have a newspaper write up from a show we played in Jackson Co. I'll have to somehow make a copy & send to you.

I don’t believe Joe turned his back on the Lord. He sings the music he loves that the Lord gave him his talent to sing. Joe has written the best songs in bluegrass and gospel music. Joe Issac and David Marshall are true Legends in music. I love them both
