Here's a great tip...whenever you need to thicken a recipe use the cornstarch/flour with any liquid to replace the water. In these recipes, I would use stock. What makes the difference is the "slurry" won't rob seasonings. If anything, it will be more flavorful. My mouth was watering with each recipe. Yummy!

Love your video. I cooked tofu yesterday for the first time in my life and it turned out excellent. My husband warn me that he doesn't like tofu but he loved it yesterday. I did organe tofu and crispy tofu from airfyer. Both were delicious! Thank you for great videos.
@DeafGirl932 жыл бұрын
I found your video to be helpful. I have a block of unopened tofu in my fridge that I really want to eat but I didn’t know what to do with it. I only have vegan cream cheese, canola cooking spray, salt, pepper, sweet baby ray’s bbq sauce and packets of ketchup you get at fast food places. I thought about doing a baked bbq tofu but I don’t have any cornstarch like you used to make them crispy.

Thanks for another video Caitlin! One little cool theme you could do for a future similar video is “using the least amount of dishes”. For me, I find it’s not so much time but more what can I make that won’t result in a full sink of dishes! I hope that gives some inspiration!

OMG I so want to try the orange tofu!! I remember getting this lemon chicken dish way back when from a local Chinese restaurant. I've never been able to find the sauce. For a short time I could buy pouches of the sauce that was close to it but I can't find that sauce. Every recipe for the sauce I find adds soy sauce or other ingredients that I don't recall this dish tasting like. The one I remember it was almost as if they stirred in lemon curd into the dish. It was sweet and lemony. Not spicy nor salty and very bright yellow like lemon curd. I'm still trying to figure out that sauce, it would be so perfect with your crispy tofu recipe and a great replacement for the chicken I ate way back when.

I can’t wait to try these, the Orange tofu is in my menu for Sunday! Question though, do you use orange juice from a container or from squeezed oranges? Thanks for the amazing recipes!😊
@lisadebergerwheeler73062 жыл бұрын
If you really want your recipe to taste fresh I always use freshly squeezed fruits. It's easier to use bottled but you just can't beat anything fresh. Same with spices.

Hi guys! This is a call for help. Although I'm ok with the taste, I can't stand biting on the spongy texture of tofu (I have the same problem with mushrooms). I have looked for alternative ways to cook it, but it seems like I'm unable to find anything that would help. If you have any knowledge or anything you can pull out of your sleeve, would you please share with us? Thanks! :)
