As for the other half x20?., I just throw them off escarpments & cliff-faces to the whimsy of the 4-Winds or just leave them here & there behind on bus-stop seats, train benches, public places, fast-food joints, be sure to leave some at your mates / boy or girlfriends joint too! / and always always ALWAYS like you say Ryan - ensure you stuff half-a-dozen picks straight into your clothes washer and / or dryer too

This is the only kind of reality TV I could go for: people with engaging personalities (Adam is great to watch) shopping for guitars to a deadline. Great choices. I would definitely have considered something similar, though I might walked away with a $2,000 Strat if it felt appreciably better than a player. You can only play one guitar at a time, right? One line of logic suggests to blow it all on the one that feels best.

Like a kid in a candy store, or a dog when you let the fence open, this guy is all over the place in the store and I'm loving every second. Buck wild. I don't know what I would do, I really don't. I'm all good on electrics and I feel pretty happy with my amps, I would go all in on an acoustic probably or make an amp-less pedalboard of some kind. Great choices honestly, good job. Oh man, what a dream! If it were me, I might get one of those mean little Squier Bullet Mustangs in olympic white. I can't get them out of my head since being introduced to them on this channel. Maybe a 3-barrel tele style half-bridge to throw on it. I have no idea what I'd do with the other $1800, maybe a couple pedals and then just buy gear to give to fam/friends. This was such a fun watch! The gentleman picked out 2 gorgeous and great sounding guitars!

Oh man! This video was really fun to watch and imagine getting to do such a shopping spree! I'm a straight up guitar guy. I'd have a hard time picking anything else but a nice guitar or two. I'd be checking out all the fender thinline tele options (The American 60's Thinline would cost me the whole budget). Those Gretsch Electromatics are awesome as well. Other temptations would be a Blackstar Silverline combo amp and some basic pedals that I've been meaning to get for years - Ditto looper, a good fuzz and a baby wah. I only live 2 hours from sweetwater and I haven't been there since the remodel. Looking forward to going sometime in the near future to check out all the changes. Looks amazing!

Hey Mark, the guitars showed up yesterday and today. They sound as good as I remember, both both guitars have minor playability issues that bother me a little bit. I am going to address those in follow up videos on my channel, if you want to stay tuned. Actually, both guitars sound better than I remember. I was flat rocking out this afternoon. Those guitars are really special.

Kudos to Sweetwater and 60 Cycle Hum for another fun video. By the time I go to try a guitar at the store, I know the one or two I want to try. My options are limited as a lefty, but there are a couple of Gretsch models, the G5622 semi-hollow and the G2622. A Schecter Nick Johnson HSS Strat at $850 is a monster guitar for the bucks. Then, with my $500 or so left, it's pedal time!

So that was pretty much super fun. Cool on Sweetwater and Ryan and Adam for making a good thing happen. The 90 min time limit was cool, not as much fun as Adam sprinting through the store with a shopping cart, but maybe more practical. If I had 2G's to drop in Sweetwater at the top of my list to check out would be a couple Guild's the 3 P90 Starfire Jet 90 and the six string baritone acoustic (not the 8 that seems weird). Depending on what happened with those, maybe look a Princeton, although you can get the whole new Super Reverb Tone Master for kind of the same money. MIght also slide to the bass room and check out the Sire D5,

I can't believe people are still commenting on this video, lol. But seriously, this was like honestly a top-5 day in my life. It also completely changed my trajectory and helped me to start taking KZbin more seriously. I picked up a GoPro while there and Sweetwater comped me a Shure MV-88 and I have used those two things to shoot basically every video since then. Thanks Ryan and Sweetwater for the gifts that keep on giving! Oh, and a year later.... it's the Gretsh that I have daydreams about playing. The Strat's awesome, but the Gretsch is Magic.

Love this so much!! Spending Spree can be stressful (in a great way). I would buy a Gibson LP Special with P90s and the Hand-wired Fender Champ, as well as a Fender Reverb Tank, making up the difference out-of-pocket. DONE! The guy who helped with the computer for the Gretsch choices looked like he could have been his brother 😲👍 ...Never mind everything I said. Sort of mirrors my recent purchases. I actually did get the blue G&L Comanchee I really like it the tone controls are better has a bass roll off and regular treble rolloff. Got a Gretsch Duo Jet electromatic on trade in natural. Gives the old Malcom Young vibes. Fun to watch and nice to see how this works. I want to take a road trip to sweetwater sometime.

Great video! I really liked the guy who won and his excitement. I haven’t played much in like 20 years. Was in a band that was like Skynyrd and Metallica had a baby. Then I got married, had 2 children and life took over. The only thing I still have from those days is my 68 Princeton Reverb. Yeah, I agree. That G&L Punched way above its price point. You guys should definitely go buy that guitar, lol. But honestly that Albertly is probably the nicest guitar I played that morning. Best neck, best frets, most outrageous finish, great tones, just amazing. They were guitars that cost a lot more money than that guitar there, I kind of think that guitar with the steal. It was just out of my range.

17:10 that is one gorgeous strat! Love the colour, although I wish it leaned a bit more towards surf green. The sparkle finish is sexy! Yowza! That room probably colours the tones of those amps in a way that fucks with your perception. What you like in that room might not translate once you get home.

I think I would start with a Headrush MX5.... Then the Epiphone Les Paul Muse in whichever metallic color I liked more in person, and a Marshall DSL40CR....the rest would go to a hard case for the guitar, a couple good cables, pics, some strings, a strap, .... I'd be stoked to just go spend a day in that store though, even if all I left with was a smile and some pics/cables...LOL

Since I'm no guitarist as such, but more of a bedroom producer who's totally new to guitars, I would probably just choose something as boring as a Squier CV 50s Tele MN BB or a Fender Player Series Tele MN Capri. I have one of those very cheap Harley Benton DIY t-style ones as a beginner guitar. I really like the natural wood look, so I just left it like that. Visually the typical design of a tele is what I find most stimulating. I actually want to pick one up and use it. Not so much my Donner P style bass with its double horns and large headstock and tuners. But I do really like the look of the Ibanez TMB35-MGR Talman Short Scale 5 string bass. It makes me want to pick it up and use it, so I'd probably go with that. Still has a big headstock and tuners. But I think it looks better in this way. When it comes to sound I've always prefered the p basses and teles. Though the more funky sounding jazzbass has begun to sneak up on me. With t-style guitars even the more expensive Harley Benton ones sounds a bit brighter and thinner than the mid tier Squier and Fender Player ones, which imo has a more round and full sound. Don't know if that's the pickups, or just the combo of all the parts maybe. For the leftovers I would get a Surfybear Compact in seafoam. Probably look into some other great sounding but affordable acoustic instruments, percussions and pedals. Then accessories if any money left.

I would for sure pick up a new bass guitar and the Alpha Omega overdrive bass pedal. Then with whats left id go for picks, straps, and amps
