If you play the splatdoo in 8th notes, that's sometimes called the Gap Band. When Dave Grohl was interviewed by Pharrell, he said that's where he got the Nirvana fill.

Amazing video! When other languages are concerned, in Bulgarian there is "Ши-ро-ка три-о-ла", which sounds something like Sheh-Ro-Kah Thre-Oh-La (make the Google Translator say it slowly :) ). It means "a quarter note triplet" and rhytmically represents two quarter note triplets.

Divirgilio is my drum fill May not sound like much, but if you play it fast (a lot like Nick Divirgilio says his name), it's a fascinating triplet feel, sounds very fancy, embellished. A lot like Nick Divirgilio's name.

Guys, ... your videos are always great , AND, entertaining, but the best part is that it is ALWAYS a great example of how drums and cymbals sound! That being said, hashtaging the equipment doesn't cut it and won't sell more merchandise. Please, list the kit, sizes, heads and cymbals you use ... please! We're not asking too much are we?! :)

Must be that power stroke 77 head? It has that dampening ring deal on the bottom side, must kind of do what the duct tape would do. And it's an Lm400. I'm thinking that's probably has something to do with it too

The names sound so idiosyncratic, just like drummers themselves. BTW, if you think Pat Boone is from the ‘70s then you have no idea what he represents at all. He’s definitely a fixture of the ‘50s, and his squeaky clean, sanitized version of rock and roll was a popular counterpoint to the era’s wonderfully raunchy rockers.
