Slash is an inspiration to keep playing and growing. When I was 12 I saw him in VR in Virginia Beach. I’m 30 now and he is still the man 🎩 🎸

My favorite guitarist of all time. Been a fan since I was about 13/14 & just a few months ago I was able to meet him through a mutual friend who surprised me with a meet and greet at one of the Serpent Festival dates he did & he was awesome enough to sign my gold top. He even did the skully logo on it too ☠️🎩

In 1996 slash played at a now closed but excellent venue in Fort Worth called caravan of dreams. It was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. Easily top five over my life. He opened with superstition. Blew everyone away. After the show me and a buddy stuck around to see if slash would come out. He did. He sat at a table and chatted with us for a good 20 minutes. My god he’s such a nice and genuine person. Answered every question we asked. Gave me a pick that I still have.

Slash's new album is one of the best albums of the year, and it instantly became one of my favorite albums. His blues influence is obvious in everything he plays, so it was great to finally hear his version of a proper blues album.

My fave Slash album by far. Questionable album cover though. Blues classics are sexy AF but I don't identify them with this type of overly cartoonish imagery, which is just a modern rip-off of Eddie Barnes artwork. The real deal has movement and class.

@@brandonpoole1670 of course not. The greatest, most successful guitarists never concerned themselves with gear. They learned from people like YOU that it's ALL in the hands. EVH did it all wrong. You forgot to tell him!
@brandonpoole16703 ай бұрын
@@ChrisP3000x I’m not the OP. Just saying that most rock lords played stock gear or some studio equipment they stumbled upon before ever being able to collaborate on signature gear. And it’s true, 90% of what you hear is in the hands. For instance, if Picasso painted on toilet paper, people would be clamoring for reproductions printed on Scott 1000. And EVH did do it all wrong imo because I don’t like his music. Talented player tho, just not my cup of tea.

To a certain degree rock is "woke" if you think about because it's about rebelling against the norm, which is conservative and Beatles made Black Bird to rebel against racism
