My great-grandfather was in the same class as Satchel. He said he was a really cool guy, a good guitar player, and that Satchel had the same hair back then.

I attended the Guitar Institute at the same time as Russ (Satchel), he came in when I was halfway thru. He was a good guitarist before getting to G.I.T. and was very young. I loaned him my gear for recording his demos with Jeff Martin, in the band Bad Dog. There's a few concert videos of Bad Dog on KZbin where Russ is using my gear and blue Ibanez. Can't say enough good stuff about Russ, cool guy.

Nice Scorpions shoutout, people always mention the 70's songs with Uli Jon Roth & Michael Schenker, but their 80's songs are really great stuff and Rudolf Schenker & specially Matthias Jabs deserve more love. Rudi Schenker is an absolute riff master & Jabs always has some super tasty solos and amazing tone.

What a cool video! Satchel busts out some seriously obscure riffs (E-Z-O??? I thought I was the only guy who bought that.) I spent too much time back in the day reading Metal Edge, Circus, Hit Parader, RIP, and liner notes of every freakin' album I bought. I was absolutely stunned and delighted by Satchel's choice of riffs for this. Just saw Steel Panther play in Silver Spring MD on 12/5. Amazing show!
@TheWorstManOnEarth19 сағат бұрын
Behind all the jokes, Satchel is one of the greatest ! Steel Panther is going to come up with THE NEW STANDARD Rock album one of these days, and it's going to leave everybody speechless ... 'cause they definitely have it, and they can.

It's funny that he mentions Judas Priest because Satchel AKA Russell Parrish was actually in FIGHT, the metal band inspired by Pantera fronted by Rob Halford in the 90's! BUT believe it or not Satchel is too humble to bring that up but I am NOT!!lol Great to see Satchel, he always cracks me up!
