When I listen to Chick Correa's Elektric Band albums, I'm always amazed by the musicianship of all the players, but John Patitucci's bass work never ceases to thrill me. Great interview.

This was phenomenal. This interview could’ve gone on much longer. Patitucci is a guy who has done so much at a high level in a variety of settings, and the interviewer not only did his homework in being familiar with his background, he was able to ask open-ended questions that let Patitucci give thoughtful answers and share the insight behind them. Thank you Sweetwater!

This interview was so well done and gave the viewer a keen sense about Mr. Patitucci. It's an invaluable skill for the interviewer to be able to make the subject feel comfortable enough to reveal things about himself/herself while making it look so effortless. Thqnk you and thank John Patitucci for his artistry and down to earthness. God's blessings to you both! Look fwd to the next interview.

John Patitucci has been my favourite bass play for over 20 years now and i have all of his solo albums, and i have been a big fan of his work as a sideman with Chick Corea's Elektric / Akoustic Bands, Wayne Shorter Quartet, Steve Khan & many more. He's a master of the acoustic / electric basses, a great composer and i still consider him to be one of the best bass players in the world.

I could see how some may confuse this guy's name with the guy from Dream Theater. But for the record, Patitucci _could play circles_ around him. Even Petrucci will tell you that.
@SannivasReddy6 жыл бұрын
maxcohen13 Patitucci is a bass player and Petrucci is a guitar player and they play very different genres of music. I’m curious as to why you think Patitucci could play circles around Petrucci. Any reason?
@Phillyfast5 жыл бұрын
I'll second what Sannivas Reddy said. Both are AMAZING musicians that play different instruments and very different genres of music. Both Patitucci and Petrucci seem to be very down-to-earth people.
