Great summary Mitch of everything you could and need to know, nice one. I’m now watching this in 2022 and the Firehawk so good enough to me and has all the effects and tools I need and more that I probably wouldn’t use, this might be an option for me to buy one soon as they’re now dirt cheap secondhand, the only downside what many say 7yrs on is the bulky size and weight compared with todays multi FX units, for me none of that really matters as long as it works, sounds good and doesn’t way anywhere near the weight of a Fender Twin or a bass cab.

Just bought one of these (from Sweetwater of course!) - but one thing to note: As of this writing, Line 6 does not provide a way to edit the Firehawk FX from a PC/Mac. There is only the iOS/Android app that connects via Bluetooth. If this changes, I'm sure they'll let us know, but the video suggests there's a computer-based editor/librarian for Firehawk, like there is for the Helix, but that is not the case so far.
@cybernautsterranautsandast21517 жыл бұрын
Wow, thanks for that. I bought a Line ^ product that claimed PC on the box and after wasting a s-load of time was told by Line 6 that it is "not really made for PC". How the hell can a company say that it's for PC on its product box?

Masterfully executed demo Mitch.... Your speaking skills, voice tone and diction are excellent pro level, more importantly your train of thought and flowing information executed in easy to understand short sentences with highlight accents in your delivery and overall easy to listen to tasteful tone makes it a pleasure to listen to long presentations from you that feature highly technical data. I dont know what sweet water is paying you but you deserve a raise brother. That was an excellent demo and I also congratulate you on your health plan you look much healthier bro.. God Bless and take care.

Dear Dog, if I hear ONE MORE guitar "demo" by somebody who doesn't like to use notes or WRITE OUT an outline - so they know what's going to happen next! - because it interferes with their spontaneity. "Um, uhh, yeah.... oh wait! I was gonna, ummm... oh yeah!" They're depending on their cuteness. And they're not cute. BAIL!!! Ah-OOGA! DIVE... DIVE....

Couple of quick questions: 1. The iPad stand looked pretty nice; didn't seem to wobble when you made adjustments. Make and model? Any pros and cons? 2. Is it possible to use this solely as an FX unit into an amp? For instance if I wanted to run certain effects into the front of my amp and run others through the loop could I? I know the Helix is capable of this.
@ghoststormzy7 жыл бұрын
My guess would be to run your amp into the Firehawk's FX Loop. Run the FX Send to the front of your amp, run the speaker out into a load box, run the out from the load box to the FX Return. Place the FX Loop wherever you would put your amp normally in the signal chain.
@lukesanderson8297 жыл бұрын
You wouldn't need the load box. Firehawk FX Loop Send > Amp input Amp FX Send > Firehawk FX Loop Return Firehawk Output > Amp FX Return On the Firehawk, have your FX before the amp before the FX loop.

Random question: Can I set up a microphone into the firehwak??? I mean If it works as an interface I guess u can also connect ur mic to record with some effects

Hey, when I play with a track i press down on my master to change guitar volume, but when I click it again it turns pink, not red, not white, pink. And I can change that level, but what is it changing??
@markcummings23445 жыл бұрын
So being non technical about sound, what does "that level of input" mean for the 1/4" out when being plugged into something like the PA system (or a wireless direct device that hooks to the PA system)?
@sweetwater5 жыл бұрын
Hello, Mark. Thanks for the question. I hope this isn't an over explanation... Generally in audio we deal with 4 main voltage levels. Mic, line, instrument and speaker. Mic level is the lowest (5-50mV), which is why we use pre-amplifiers. Instrument level is between mic and line and is the voltage that is produced out of an electric guitar, usually around 750 mV. Line level voltage is where your question's answer lies. It is around 1.2-3 volts, and is what comes out of the output of the Firehawk. This can be directly plugged into a mixer without the need of pre-amplification. Speaker level is the amplified signal of line level in order to have enough voltage to power the movement of speakers. Please give me a call if you have any other questions. Michael Morgan Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1607, Michael_Morgan@Sweetwater.com
