Gongs are great for getting it on! Uhhhh, errrr...... Sorry. All kudding aside, the sounds were quite surprising! I never realized before, that gongs seem to shimmer and get louder and brighter as the sound decays! Thx.

New Age folks are taking facets of Eastern religions of Hinduism and Buddhism and hide their true roots under non-religious facades. You may heard of "mindfulness". The concept of meditating while playing a gong is taken from Buddhism where a yogi plays a gong and others in the room who are meditating are cleansed by the sounds of the gong. She doesn't outright talk about it but the concept is that the gong's sound will move you (the listener) from a beta state to an alpha state, and then to a theta state, and then to a delta state. That's why her business is called a "soundbath center".
