I was conceived in a bouncy castle when my mom was playing in a ball pit that had not been sanitized in ages and something oddly sticky brushed past her leg. Nine months later, I was delivered in that very same ball pit, as she had not yet been able to find her way out of the plastic prison. I managed to finally feel the sunlight on my skin when I eventually escaped at the age of 4. To the best of my knowledge, my mom has yet to be seen again.

There’s a business like this in my home town, called “Bouncing Bears”. We used to take my child siblings there regularly. There, you pay once ($13 or $15 depending on age) and you can stay all day long, and reenter so you could go for lunch and come back . PLUS ITS INDOORS so it’s air conditioned and clean. Perhaps I’m spoiled by that, but paying for a time limited slot to be outside barefoot with no lockers for your shoes seems so greedy. Idk to me this event just seems like it’s reinventing the wheel but worse.

In general, adults and children should be separated when it comes to bouncing (in a trampoline park or inflatables). It's very dangerous to put people of such a large variety of sizes together. Children should also be separated into groups based on age and height. In my area at least there's been issues at Sky Zone locations with rowdy adults or teens trampling kids. It's just plain a safety hazard that minimum wage workers can't properly deal with

Why don't moon jump / bouncy castle places supply footwear the way bowling allies do? One reason to not wear shoes in the bouncehouse is because they can fly off your feet and hit other people, or someone could not notice your shoe fell off and trip on it. I think these play places should give everyone a gripper slipper that is basically a sock with a tiny bit of tread on the bottom and also has clasps that keeps them from falling off your feet.

I worked for a place that had a large bouncy castle attraction. Our biggest challenge was to keep it clean and dry. These things are impossible to clean and kids love to pee or vomit in the worst place possible. (we tried to hire people to wash it, but apparently nobody wants to do it). Plus, when we closed after dark, I was always afraid that someone was hiding in them as I did my rounds to make sure nobody was inside so we could close them safely. This whole thing sounds like a nightmare. There is no way that these ball pits get clean enough between the adult session and the toddlers session.

I went to Big Bounce America in May with my wife when it was in Michigan. We are both in our late 20s, so definitely felt the length of the obstacle course it really tires you out. Regarding the lighting, I think it’s just due to the time of year. When we went in late May it’s not getting dark until after 8:30 so most of the event was actually pretty well lit. We didn’t have to pay for parking so it must have just your venue that was bing sucky. I think the dirtiness was also because it was an event later in the year. My wife and I fully expected it to be gross in the bounce houses and were actually surprised how clean and well kept everything was but it was early in the year so maybe the bounce houses were just newer. Honestly I have no idea how you can even clean something that big anyway.

I've been to this 3 times in the last maybe 8 years! It's been really fun every time. Some extra info i have in case you're interested: -my tickets were also rescheduled by a day this year. They tour the whole country and I assume it was a delay earlier in the schedule that delayed everyone's tickets over a period of time -last time i was there someone broke or sprained her ankle on the obstacle course :( she was evacuated by team members within i think 5 minutes. They deflated the section she was in and had a plan for how to get her out. Within 20ish minutes the whole obstacle course was back up and running. It was really cool to see what happens when you get injured, although obviously it sucks someone was. -If someone came in with a knife and slashed a hole they would either slap an emergency patch on it or deflate that section. I've seen some pretty knarly holes with big patches on em. obviously the threat to like, human safety is more concerning though. I actually hope you get to go back with some friends! with the right group of people it's a ridiculously good time in my experience.

Oh and no, we didn’t do any smexy time. That’s disgusting for so many reasons.

We have these giant bouncy obstacle courses in Australia and they're so well set up and manned. This... seems so dodge 😅

Thank you for checking this out. They were in our area and I was ready to drop money for our whole group to go…but it turns out they had a weight limit of 245lbs. That knocked out three in our group of six so we decided to go to an arcade instead.

My husband and I went to one of the events when they came to our city. We signed up for the adult only session as well, but the entire thing was FULL of children the entire time. Not kids that could easily have been 16 or 17, but small children around age 5 or 6. And I'm talking TONS of them. We ended up being the only adults at the "adult only" session that weren't accompanying a little child. Felt kind of awkward the entire time, like we weren't really supposed to be there.

3:30 ish ...Wait until you hit your 40s, you'll find that anyone under the age of 30 looks like a child. It amazes me as a 46yo how anyone around my age or older can possibly even consider to date someone that is half my age or under 30. They feel like they're still literal children. Now I understand why my parents (when they were my current age and I was a 'know it all teen/young adult') had similar thoughts. It seriously doesn't hit you this understanding until you're in mid life.

I went to this with my partner when it was in my area and it was one of my favorite events. We had fun all 3 hours. We hung out in the ball pits and were just chillin. We never thought about doing anything in the ball pit and never saw anyone else doing anything either. The most we did was have a ball pit war with another couple in the ball pit next to us laughing like maniacs.

Jurupa is a Spanish world. So the J is pronounced H. I live in the Inland Empire. I live across the river from that town.

my bf and i went a year or so ago and we had a lot of fun! it also showed us how devastatingly out of shape we are lmao for anyone who wants a little bit of a different experience: tldr: some locations are def better than others for this, absolutely want to go again one day - our event was held in a mall parking lot so parking was free - i actually think a parking lot lowkey does work better for this since the concern of wet socks from the grass wasn't a concern, there were also seemingly more mats on the floor in front of the entrances to the bouncy establishments - there def are some people who stay past their time, they're pretty on top of the big bounce house since it is done by time slots but other than that there aren't any checks i don't think (there were literal children, like under 10, there for some of our adult session) - we had lights, again because parking lot - we didn't have a foam one i'm jealous! space one was def the worst/most boring. we also had a four person slide thing if i remember correctly which was so fun, especially when you got paired with another couple - no, we didn't fuck in the bouncy castle, not even a thought that crossed my mind, i came to BOUNCE

Yeah carpet is a must, that's probably why they have dirt and stuff in the actual venue? like even just some tarps and some brushes to clean your feet off before you go in would help make sure less dirt is coming in. And lighting is huge for a nighttime venue, I guess at least it sounds like they could just get some floodlamps and be done with it.

I did this pre-covid with my boyfriend in St. Louis Missouri. We had fun and did the adults only session in the evening. It was pretty much the same set up then not enough lighting. It was worth it to us and was a fun date night. It was something that was fun and different.

Fully get going to most of the events you go to alone, but I feel like an adult bouncy house experience is gonna be better with friends. Easier to embrace your inner child with friends around

I rent out bounces for personal parties over the summer so targeted advertising was shoving these other bounce events down my throat loll !! Exciting that you went to one for me

My bestfriend and I went to this last year to kick off our summer. We picked the “adult” night to avoid kids, which definitely helped lol. BUT it rained the day before, so most of the stuff was still pretty wet, our socks were soggy and soaked😭 We jumped around for like 20mins -30mins tops and was exhausted. And because it was adult night, after an hour everyone was sitting down, hanging on to dear life cause we decided to bounce around like some children. But did i still enjoy it for the most part? Eh yea, but its one of those things you do it once, you dont really need to do it again😂 my body felt it the next day. I appreciate the free water they had too, they couldve been greedy and capitalized off the fact that ppl would get thirsty

Came to my area and I loved it. Good size crowd but not a long wait for anything or awuished up on anyone since there were so many options to go on and the land was so big. I loved it we had so much fun! Especially the obstacles courses. Those were so hard. The parking thing was annoying tho I agree. 3hrs is more than enough time and eveyone kept it wholesome and clean where I was at. Huge workout and yeah so fun as a date with the hubby. All and all loved. Mine didnt have lockers wish it did. Kt only had the shoes thing which i think xould have been nice to have lottle booties or something for our feet, but ours was in a field during the day so no real worries about stepping on something unknown

The "world's biggest" bounce castle was sorta in my area recently, but we found a similar, but slightly smaller version that was closer and much cheaper. We took our young child, and they loved it. But this was at like 9 am and only a handful of other little kids there. No free water, and in a mall parking lot. Definitely fun for kids, but we didn't stay our whole 3 hours. Also can confirm, was filthy. But it's a public permanently outdoor attraction, targeted mainly at children, so...

I had a great time at this with a bunch of friends last year! but it was the one in Pasadena so maybe that one was nicer? it’s so much fun for our group but I also love watching Surviver for the obstacle courses and enjoy rock climbing and did a tough mudder two years ago so I will say this HAS to be your thing to enjoy

This event rents out the field next to my neighborhood for the past like 5 years every summer and it gets so full that people start parking in our neighborhood to not pay the parking fee 😂 glad to see theyre not only on the east coast

Ive been to this event 2 times, each with a group of 3 people including myself. I loved it and would recommend it, it is gross but worth it as a fun event with friends. It travels around and both times ive been to it i was in Minnesota and the food trucks were local. I've only done the adult time slots because from what i remember they heavily encourage only going in the time slot you apply to.
