Wow! What a long stick that really was. Seeing it from the ground view made so much difference. I miss not seeing the approach to the nest they take. You could tell M15 had to make a flight plan to clear the fence and the trees to get that stick home. M is also learning that he must let F23 try to place her own sticks even if he has to redo them later. (Of course a few nips here and there from F23 helps-lol!) I sure hope M doesn't have any regrets. She's pretty bossy. I'm worried she won't give him enough time on those babies, when the eggs arrive. All he had to do to Harriet was put something on her tail end, and she get write off for him. Excellent video and audio. @michellecoshow2927. YW 🙂. What you are seeing as “bossy” behavior is the change we saw as her hormones changed for breeding season. It’s exactly what we wanted to see 🙂. Females are bigger, stronger, and dominant. If this is her first clutch, she may be very protective at first. She will quickly realize she needs breaks. Their bond grows each day. Harriet and M15 had a strong bond and trust built over the years. F23 and M15 will take time to build that. Enjoy every moment! Happy to know you liked the Beast Mode comment lol. 💜🦅🦅💜

M15 has taught her well, to bring in both (big) branches and moss. I think the rule should be: whoever "catches" the big stick has first dibs on placing it, unless they ask for help. As much as I adore Shadow the Stickman from Big Bear, this nest looks oh so much comfier.

@habslover2306. Too funny on the rule, unless they ask for help 😂 ! Nest building is innate behavior, so M15 didn't need to teach her that. Every E I have watched from this nest snapped branches, usually at least getting a twig with leaves lol. I think we all love Jackie and Shadow! 💜🦅🦅💜

Kim. Thank you for the kind words. F23 is an adult eagle, at least five. Some guess she recently turned five, maybe 6, due so some darker head feathers. You can see it on the close-up views of her. It is just a guess on her age, not a fact. We may have clues this is her first clutch as we continue watch her behavior. But still, just educated guesses. 💜

@katiehopkins8018. The owls have always been here, and it is their territory also. The owls are courting, and it is normal behavior for them to scout all available nesting sites in and around the territory. Last season, on 10-20-22, the owls visited H&M's new nest build. That is the exact date, one year difference, that we saw the owls visit this season. Just normal owl behavior. Hopefully F23 is an early layer, and I pray the owls nest further N in the territory. 🙏🏻🦅🦅💜
