OMG!! Poor momma F23.😔🦅🥚🥚❤️. Mt heart hurts for her but however, she did an awesome job in defending herself and her eggs too.👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I just wish those GHO’s would just leave town and go live somewhere else. I know they don’t seem to be aggressive towards F23 which is good but, it’s just the fact that they’re an absolute nuisance too. If I may ask, is M15 near by to be able to see what is going at the nest and if there was ever a problem could M15 get there in time to help her? God bless this awesome and wonderful Eagle family. Also, thank you Androcat too. Sue M. Clearwater,Florida ❤️🥰🙏😔😘🦅🦅🥚🥚❌⭕️

@susanmorris5520. YW🙂. As you know, this is the owl’s territory, and they will not be going anywhere. I understand it’s upsetting to people. They are not the biggest threat here to our eagles, so I try to just keep perspective on that. M15 must have been roosting where he could not hear her. Wind direction/speed can hinder his ability to hear her, even if he is roosting close by. He did fly in this morning around 4AM for a little bit of “night” incubation time. 🥰

M15 is very wise and experienced. He does not need to be flying around the pasture in darkness tangling with a GHOW. The owls are still trying to intimidate F23 but she is showing them it is her nest. She did a great job protecting her eggs and stayed in the nest. Thank you so very much Androcat. 💙🦅🦅💙

@PriscillaD225. YW 🙂. The owls are probably looking at how big F23 is, and thinking they might wanna be careful about messing with her. 😉💙

They have difficult time now. She is tired and she's scared. I think that M15 isn't far. Thanks a lot for your video!❤

She’s a great momma. How I pray those owls leave and find another place further away. I hope M was close by to help her, too. Thanks Androcat, as always❤

@LeicesterRose. YW 🙂. We are all praying for more distance between the two nests this season. The owls won’t be leaving; this is their territory. It’s the territory for many species, as you know. The Pritchett farm is full of wildlife. For twelve seasons on cam, everything has worked out. I pray for the safety of all of them. 🙏🏻💙

@ that’s what I meant, really. Move further away from this nest. So they’re not so close to each other. Thanks Androcat

@LeicesterRose. YW 🙂. I would love it if the owls found a place in the N pastures. Further away, and more safe for all of them. I will just keep praying for that! 💙

The GHOs do this every year since Ive been watching
@androcat1210 сағат бұрын
@renecg796. They sure have. Some seasons we have seen more interactions than others. Great Horned Owls have been here since Season 1. We have 1500+ nests here in FL, and they likely share most, if not all, territories. 💙

Good job F23 defending your precious eggs. I don’t blame the GHO owls for wanting this beautiful nest, but it’s occupied and time for them to find a different nesting spot. I think mama owl still a few weeks from her egg laying time, all we can do is just be observers. F23 been through this one season and M15 an old pro but it’s never easy to watch. I know it’s part of nature and in Kansas I would be upset if it was the eagles harassing the owls during egg laying time.

Terri Stauffer. F23 has done great. You are right on Mama owl, a couple more weeks, most likely. I hope the owls have found a decent nesting site. It is hard to watch, and I understand how it worries folks 😕. The eagles and owls have always managed here, and it was great seeing both nests fledge their young for three seasons. I will miss getting to watch the owls at the same time. 🙏🏻💙
