This was so exhilarating - I was seeing the landscape around through E21's eyes ... so much to see!! I have become so attached to this eagle family and to the success of M15 and Harriet's new brood - 2 beautiful strong new eagles! M15 is one extremely awesome and magnificent dad/mom to his E’s. He has successfully raised, protected, fed, and even stayed strong throughout the whole time raising his E’s. I hav never really known any kind of a success story after a sad loss of a mate where a dad successfully takes care of his babies alone and has done a successful job at it. Your M15 is everyone’s hero and we all surly do admire you so much for your successful job at raising your kids.❤️🥰🦅 I know you had help from your sweet Harriett wherever she may be and also the hand of God too. No matter how many times you were knocked off that limb by that Owl you always got back up and made sure that Owl wasn’t gonna win and for that, you are absolutely amazing and in my heart the absolute #1 Eagle in history. I love you and you will b just fine and I know that cause you showed it throughout the upbringing of the E’s. Thank you Lady Hawk for this video. I thought E21 was a she and E22 was a he, based upon their size, but, E22 caught up a bit and at times they look the same size. But, then, at other times, E21 still looks bigger and it's head and neck are bigger and ankles thicker. I guess we have a 50/50 chance of being right? Lol! 🤗 I'm doing well, thank you! What an excising mile stone. These 'little' eaglets have survived in spite of everything. I'm getting excited now, because once they fledge, M15 (BTW why don''t we give him a name? Maybe Prince Valient? Anyway, I'm excited to see who he mates with. He's got a lot of suitors. Then with a mate again, we will get to see just how dedicated the pair will be. Hello Lady Hawk and Eagle Watchers, I have a few Questions please? I see many mention E21 and E22 as both “he and she” at different times? Has there been a gender established for the Eaglets? I have been waiting to know, but maybe I missed it? Also, once they fledge, do they ever return to the nest at all for any reason or are they just gone? 😢 This is my first season watching the eagles and I have fallen in love with them. E21 is probably a she, due to her size versus E22s. Once they fledge, they’ll fly to eat at the nest first, then M15 will bring them food wherever they are out in the pasture for the next 6 weeks.

It's still all speculation as to the gender of the eaglets. I personally think that E22 has begun to show some dominant traits which may suggest that E22 could be female. Eaglets seem to tend to stick around for a while after they have fledged. However, after fledging they could decide to leave at any point.

Hello. Females are larger than males in eagle world. E21 has always been larger than E22 and IJMHO is female based on size. Fledge is when the eaglets take their first flight away from the nest tree. After fledging they stay in the area and the parent eagles continue to provide food and teach them the skills necessary to survive the critical first year. This year M15 will have his talons full even after they fledge because his job won't be done until they DISPERSE ( leave the area for their journey into the world about 6 weeks or so after fledging. Some leave earlier some stay longer like E12 and E15 did) This nest is great to watch because of the multiple cameras and the pond area on the property. We get to watch the eaglets after they fledge as they play in the pond and try out their new skills, thanks to the Pritchett family who owns the property and provides the cameras.🙋☺️
