M15 was in great form delivering two fish, one soon after the other. E23 was more than happy to munch on each one, but when F23 shows up...she lands on the Throne Branch, and E23 is not too happy. As E23 is chowing down on the 2nd fish, F23 drops right onto the nest from above and steals the other fish. E23 squees with much displeasure at her and then chases her down. They both land on a branch in the basement of the nest tree, and F23 seems to drop to the ground, but cam op loses track of her. She then returns to the attic branch and E23 scurries to the nest to guard his other fish! Wowee, Cheers to you E23, you are so AWESOME!! 👏💜

Yes that was a terrific chase scene yesterday. That whole meal dragged on for about an hour and a half!!! M brought in the 2 fish and mom stayed to watch the progress. E learned that in the wild she's going to have to speed up the eating, tear off larger chunks and swallow quickly. She made it too easy for someone else to swoop in and grab one of the fish. Mom stayed right there till finally the sun was starting to set so she finally grabbed what was still left by that time, ripped it apart and fed kiddo before it got too dark. You did good Mini Beast...just pick up the pace there kiddo!

@@takemetothesea6238 Yes, much too long to condense in a video clip LOL! F23 seemed hungry and maybe why she hung around until the evening for nestovers. E23 still having a hard time ripping it apart, but will surely get there, and especially with Momma hot on his tail! ;)

@@DMStarXOXO Yep, I agree. She'll learn. Gotta get that food down the hatch. M watched the whole sequence of events. Mom played her usual very patient role in this lesson. When E abandoned the one fish to grab the other, that was F's que to show possible consequences of that in the wild. I remember last year when M brought E22 a fish on the nest, he turned his nose up at it. Dad waited as patiently as he could, but after about 5 minutes took the fish away from 22 & flew off with it. That was one screamin' ticked off kid. 😂

@@takemetothesea6238 The lessons come fast and hard sometimes. M15 is usually the softie though, I'm a little surprised about the E22 lesson. Usually, M15 will try to feed them more often than not when they act uninterested or "lazy" ;)

@@DMStarXOXO Oh his kids will be ALWAYS be fed. They'll ALWAYS have a good-size crop. No one ever starves on his watch! LOL!!!! These are just momentary lessons that must be taught. All eagle parents want their kids to survive. In all the nests I've watched, inevitably there will be tantrums & hissy fits over being disciplined. As I posted, even mom stayed right with her and helped break up the food later to feed her before bedtime. They "know" what's going on. It's the old mantra..."Trust the eagles"😍👍😁

F23 is filling in for a sibling. E23 needs to know how to protect his food, even from family. He’s learning fast, and F23 has proved herself an excellent mother. Loved how M15 was watching from another branch the whole time. Leaving the teaching to mama this season. Nice to see him relaxing, he’d done his job, supplying food, leaves the others to Duke it out, 😂 Thanks DMS, great video❤

This was adorable! Mama teaching her little one invaluable lessons on keeping and eating your food! E23 is a smart student and will put it all together soon.
