These GTO may be cute and adorable but they are a real nuisance! They ain't going to give up this beautiful well firnished nest! I think their previous home must be falling apart,no reason for them to be here! Mighty M and his mate will have a battle with them if F23 is laying her precious eggs! Though Eagles may be resilient to their attacks life will be a chaos! We will never know who is the winner! Thanks for your post Lady Hawk!!❤

I agree. They have been wanting this nest but they seem more determined than ever this year. I wonder if maybe the one they were using might have gotten destroyed by a storm or something?? If I lived in the area I would seriously fix something up for the owls. Like an oversized bird box with straw and the works. Give them something that will last so maybe they will leave these Eagles alone. Owls generally like to be inside something don't they?

​@@darkangel7820I have heard of people building 🦉 boxes 😅 to those that live in areas where rodents run rampant ! They welcome the owl's so they build boxes on their property 😊

This is already starting out different than any other season aside from losing our Queen Harriet 💔! Very intersting indeed. However, there is not a molecule in my body that says M15 and F23 won't fight heartily when needed and they will keep this nest ❤🦅 Never a stronger daddy than M15!

Absolutely agree Dear Lady Hawk ❤, That really was a Huge point you made!, The Eagles need to be at the nest once F23 lays her eggs!, ❤🙏❤ Before that there wouldn't be a need to roost!, It will only complicate matters therefore unnecessary Strikes by the Owls, All we can pray for is that F23 does lay her eggs soon as at least before the Owls!! The Hooties are extremely Cute and we want the bestfor them and their future families but Just Not Here Please! The hooties are adorable with those hushed little sounds. So precious. Thanks LadyHawk for pointing out to others that things will be back to normal soon. The eagles and the hooties "do this dance" every year with each other. If nothing else.......these hooties are the cutest dang visitors that this nest ever gets! God bless'em all😁😍🦉🦅💓🙏

The GHO live their nocturnal normal life and it is so interesting to watch them so close. They exchange such long conversations it's cute. The male GHO has not convinced his mate yet she has other choices available.

SHARON SHNEYER, This is getting scary with what the owls are doing at the nest. I need an escape from my daily problems and the difficulties of the past year. This is my I have been watching since Season 1, and I remember the attack on E7 and E8, and the search for E8, and how lucky we were that CROW (Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife in Sanibel). When they finally were able to get ahold of E8, he/she had a broken wing/femur/?

The reason eagles dont attack is because it's dark? Them booties think that's their nest. Gonna be a problem I think. I know they have a nest nearby and their last babies probably not all that far away.
