SWGEmu - Community Poll for New Play-Test Server

Missed the poll period but am really hyped! I think it will be a great trial run for when Suncrusher/1.0 drops. What 2 toon professions will we roll, what will everyone else roll and which professions will be in scarcity (common belief it will be Ents). Imagine a new world with no docs, no ents, no armor or weapon smiths, no artisans yet to make homes or harvesters, no politicians to help create towns then cities, etc. I'm hoping that the challenges of starting EVERYTHING from scratch will help bring some more players back to the game. Big thanks to the SWGEMU staff for keeping the SWG dream alive after all these many years!

Got my vote. Personally I would like a fresh start but honestly if JTL were ever finished that’s what would save the game and server IMO. I know a lot of people (myself included) don’t enjoy NGE but having space combat is awesome. Basilisk with JTL would be king of servers for all time. Hoping this new testing helps bring people back

I am waiting for my laptop to get back from warranty and can't wait to vote. it's been the lowest of the lows I think as far as population goes for the server many left after the no JTL announcement and some of the other servers like Legends have a lot more content despite it being NGE, also the whole duping thing and everybody getting banned for that sucked. that said I've been with emu since 2007 and will never leave have played all the time since with a few breaks here and there. I would hope that releasing a new server would include something other than just a fresh start because we are all anticipating and waiting for a 1.0 suncrusher. I think its a good idea to save Bas for people who are really dedicated to that maybe they're in the middle of grinding out whatever they wanted to grind out maybe they're not so ancient players like myself so it's hard to justify taking the experience away from them if they've been working on it for the last few weeks or months. however it's hard to really engage with those new players you pretty much have to milk them for the nostalgia and not let them know that it's sort of a dead end with the way the economy is being so old and all the end game content virtually camped. I don't have any perfect suggestions or answers on what to do to make it perfect, but I do believe a fresh start on a server would be very inspiring and motivating for a lot of older players and I would definitely hop on that right away. I think you guys should consider what modifications are things you're looking to include in the new server have that open for discussion and votes as you further this thing along. I'm pretty sure you guys are well aware of what the community thinks and the issues surrounding different topics and trust you'll make the best call cuz you guys have done great so far with what you've got and you've certainly got a dedicated community. possibly consider it like a Legends thing where they have a galactic Senate where the players will elect other players senators to sort of be the representatives for where the devs take things as far as content creation goes.

Kinda hard to vote when you’ve been banned for receiving a duped ADK, with no idea, and never got for a response back from my appeal… but I’d def vote for the new updated server only. Basilisk was fun but there’s too much awesome content that could be implemented thag would make it so much better. Why no one has made a quality pre-cu server with all content from all the combat updates, idk.

Depends what is the time estimate for the project Milestone to lunch?

We cannot give an estimate like that due to the amount that goes into it. The project milestone consists of 1.0 and any bugs on those implementations and then after we reach the milestone, work anything 1.0+ would have to be done.
