This is almost to a T how I learned how to build fence 21 years ago. It’s also how I train my guys too. The sighting in posts is a lost art nowadays. Nice to see it being shown!Great video!!

A trick we use for wet concrete is we Carry around foam stripes from the bollard covers since they come with 10% each foam strips just roll them up shove in up in the pipe and it will help from sinking. Pine branches with a lot of leaves shoved up works too in a pinch LOL. I make my marks with a story Pole I make a mark at 57 " and run my story pole with a marker on the top and my height marks made for 16 - 6 ft story pole is a rotary Level height stick for slope i split the difference marks don't need to be removed because each mark is cut and or covered by the fittings

I just run a string and some baton boards, or just end point to end point for a fence. Do the same thing when I build decks to make them square. But the string is definitely inconvenient on a job site with lots of people, and then your whole line can get screwed up if somebody moves it, hits it, it gets stuck on something etc. and people would constantly have to move/lift it. I do also use a 6ft level when I set my posts but the way I do everything solo would be real slow for a crew. Always cool when I see this guy on villano or his trucks around St. Aug! I've never done the metal wire fencing, always wood so very interesting video. Gotta go back and watch his wooden gate video again, shows you how do do it wicked simple with no sag. -Holdeen's Flooring & Handyman Services Inc.

When setting up a fence line we use multiple "rabbit posts" (we call them line ups) We mark our spacings then put in line ups every 6-7 spacings (in between marks). This allows us to just walk forward setting posts, looking at our line ups and not looking back at what we previously set. We don't use a string to mark x's either... we just center the auger bit by using our line ups to sight it in line to dig the hole. Different strokes for different folks. Both are still great ways to set a fence line

Good video. Chain link has gone out of fashion in industrial construction here in Ireland many years ago with post and mesh panels taking over because of the weakness of chain link to prevent entry by cutting. We even put mesh panel fence with tamper proof hardware as temporary on construction sites. The construction company will often move this to the next site if not damaged.I would say chain link hasn’t been used here on gates in the last 30 years. The Bekert company from Belgium would be the original post and mesh panel fence in green also widely used in a heavier format in Astro turf pitches and prisons.Passisade became less popular because cctv cameras can’t see through it at a certain angle.
