I love using my Keewaydin combi as a solo canoe, glad to see you are still improving them.

I'm absolutely drooling. Selling my whaler skiff this spring to get back to human propulsion. Unfortunately, I'm in Haines, Ak so shipping is always an issue. I'll be contacting you soon about lead times and possible shipping to Whitehorse, BC. Amazing work you do......thanks✌

Love your videos! Can't wait to make a order for a solo Prospector 14 pack. Beautiful boats!

Nice work on the Combi boats, I removed my stern seat in my older Prospector 15 and use it mostly solo and standing with a pole, great to see the removable seats. I wonder if a simple kneeling thwart a nice wide one could be added just where the foot brace is placed? the removable carrying thwart also allows more room to move forward and back when poling to trim the boat for the conditions. Great stuff. The only other add on I would like to see it rope loops in the bow and stern stems up near the decks for tying down and painter lines.

We are able to put a detachable Kneeling Thwart in the boat also! :)

Love that 16' Prospector combi. Already have the solo 14' Prospector but if I were to buy another canoe, cause like people say; two canoes is never enough, I'd definitely consider that 16' combi. Just for when another person or two wants to join me.

I wish my swift prospector 17's middle (3rd) seat was removable like that!

I just ordered a 17 foot Prospector (today), kevlar fusion, carbon kevlar trim, with a removable center seat and removable end seats. I did not see the combi option mentioned in your videos for the 17 foot Prospector, but I assume it is not much different that the 17 foot Keewatin. I was just wondering if the yoke will be a fixed or a removable one, as I am not sure on the layout for the 3rd seat.
@SwiftCanoeKayak Жыл бұрын
On the Prospector 17 we typically place the 3rd seat in the 'kids' position, which means just forward of the yoke, and the yoke is turned around to face the stern (so you can portage with the 3rd seat in place and its not in the way of your head). You can request the 3rd seat be placed in the 'solo' position, which is between the yoke and the stern seat. The yoke would be fixed unless otherwise specified to have it made removable. I'd contact your dealer/salesperson to confirm as they can definitely make sure the specs will be done correctly for you. Congrats on your new boat!

@@SwiftCanoeKayak I reviewed the options for the combi with 3 removable seats. The video demonstrated clearly how it looks in the different configurations. Swift also said that the 17 foot Prospector was not designed for removable end seats, so I have changed the specs to the 16 footer with 3 removable seats, as seen in the video, and a solo position foot brace. There should not be too much stability difference between the 16 and 17 foot models in rough water.

Do you not recommend any tandem for a smaller 150 lb female canoer?
@billswift8022 Жыл бұрын
It would depend on the paddling conditions. Do you want to have a consult about this?
