Just stay humble bro and learn as much as you can. Getting fired is a horrible mark against your DAC. I got fired from Crete because of how I drive and their little camera just deeming me an unsafe driver (no tickets, or accidents, 8 years running) and many companies wouldn't touch me for a year because of that. Alot of owner operators are falling out and are looking for jobs at these megas and those same megas are tightening up how they hire people. Be safe, be humble, be open minded and you'll make money and take care of yours.

Hi, I'm an ex-Swift driver, and I think everyone's experience is different. I started with Swift straight out of driving school. I worked out of the OKC Terminal. The first driver leader I had was rude so I asked for a new one. I really liked my second driver leader. I personally like the fact they have many Terminals, free laundry, and they treated me good. The downside I was fired for something I feel was stupid. But it is what it is. I'm with a different company waiting for orientation. It's not Swift by a long shot, but I'm thankful for an opportunity. The one thing I miss is having a terminal less than 20 minutes from my house. This new company does not have a terminal in my city. 😢

I am working with Swift right now, and I am thankful for the training and a chance to get experience. I will see how it goes next when I get my truck. I started with swift 7 years ago and it was the same bullshit. They told me my license was suspended and I had to wait for it to be fixed in their system. The problem was I kept checking with the DMV and it was never suspended! This went on for a month, so I said fuck it I need to make money and went to a different company. Do you know they called me while I was on my to the new company telling me I was cleared and they had a load for me? I told them I had to work because I had bills waiting for a month. So they then put they terminated me and I wasn't eligible for rehire! Lmaoo fuck Swift they play with your money and your time and your records.
@TruckerActivity22 жыл бұрын
Lol so that hired you then said your license was suspended. They literally say anything.
@TheSenegal472 жыл бұрын
@@TruckerActivity2 Yup I worked for them for 3 months and they called me and said I had to park the truck cause my license was suspended. I went online to the DMV and printed a document showing it wasn't, I went to the DMV and called to confirm and it was never suspended. They just didn't want me driving for a month and this was their excuse. But got mad soon as they found out I signed up for a new company. Like they didnt understand you have bills you need to pay too. 7 years later I'm an owner operator now with a small company out of Tennessee. Just get your experience up and better doors will open.
