dagger and bow is better than greatsword and bow you are gonna do most of your dmg with bow you dont need a second damaging weapon also dagger striking skill does a lot of damage and invisibility can remove npc's aggro which is super OP if you are low in a teamfight or just wanna run away and the teleport move is good for travelling

Dagger is better used as a utility weapon than a dps weapon. The dagger blink/spin dash/invisible skills have options to guarantee crit the next magic/strength attack, which massively increases your dps. I made my dagger blink skill go for the critical hit and comboed it with my bow skill solar arrow with the power option and it one shots a male grizzly bear with just 765 strength (25 strength) and 185% crit dmg (10 dex , dragon hearth set, & mytstical strength trait).

I assume you picked umbralith also what other stats did you go I'm new to this so I want to know if I'm doing my build right. @@Snoopyloopywoopy no I picked the race with all 5 on stat cuz I want a backup plan whenever I got bored of my build or dex strength is no longer good. Right now my stats are 27 strength 15 dex 5 int 20 wis & 15 con. If you're confident that you can consistently parry dont go con. Also I suggest putting some points on wis if you're gonna consistently use skills. If you plan on pvping putting some points at con & wis is a must.

Tldr (like or pin) S: bow (insane pve and decent pvp) A: great sword (Highest dps great at everything), -A: Ice staff (Slightly better than fire staff and has stun, good combo with celestial if ur a mage) B: Celestial staff (Nerfed to the ground, still amazing support) C: Dagger (Too much pvp put into it but its in no means bad), -C: Fire staff (the dps does not make up for the fact that its worse than ice staff and the fact that its no stun is mid, still good tho)

Honestly, I feel like what you said about daggers role doesnt really make sense. In most games, those with daggers usually dont tank, they are supposed to take care of the mobs one by one. So yeah, dagger cant take pressure off your team when invis at all, but thats because thats not what it was made for.

Level 42 Mage here, also tried all mage abilities. Fire Mage is on top rn, if you choose the right upgrades on the skills its not only 10x more powerful than Ice staff but has arguably more survivability cuz u just 3 shot everything in catacombs. You lose A LOT of dmg with ice staff and stun isnt sufficient enough to be better.

actually, the dagger has been extremely useful to me in pve, to the point where I have been one shotting every mob since level 20, of course, it's a combination with the bow, but without the dagger, it wouldn't be possible

Personal opinion after testing weapon combos and i think dagger and bow would be the best because dagger has 2 moves that gives 100% chance for a crit making dex stat not needed

Ice barrier's displacement passive knocks back enemies and increased dmg, turret can shoot two targets and have a longer range, it can stun but it's very very random. Ice snipe is the best for dps, cd reduced + dmg distance is the best passives. I'm not sure if we can get more than 2 passives per ability, cuz it won't let me use my 3 available points despite being mastery 13 on my weapon.

bow is good but if you dont go anything else but greatsword you have no hp. I wouldnt put is S tier though. Greatsword is S tier.. it can easily kill bow users with it's leap, and dagger users. Only time greatsword only thing greastsword would be weak against is ice.
