Wow - THANK YOU - brought me right back to the day - luv Soundgarden. Just picked up a guitar after TWENTY years and was looking for acoustic refreshers but saw this and had to listen to it! Cool that you are in Philly - I was raised there!

You really are a great teacher. If you don't already instruct out of a studio or something, I suggest you do so the people in philly can learn how to rock like you do. Keep up the great work!!

Great lesson. Never thought that song (not including the solo) was that simple. Went through it a few times then jammed along to the actual track! Now to get some lighter gauge strings for those bends....

Hey Tom, I agree, it's surprisingly simple, in spite of the odd timing. The challenge is in maintaining the energy from start to finish. I really respect Soundgarden's musicianship, as this song just keeps moving, and there's hardly any time to gather your thoughts. Now consider that Chris is singing while all this is going on, crazy talented guy!

They have a great energy to all of their music. Even with their newer albums like King Animal, between the musicianship and Chris's vocals, I love every moment of most of their music. Have you checked out any of Chris's solo work? His album Songbook is a great collection of live acoustic versions of his music. Some great acoustic guitar work combined with his vocals.

@hannahwc6087 жыл бұрын
The good news is that you will get better. Don't give up - ever. It does take a bit of time, so please be patient. Once you get a song down that you LUV - play the heck out of it and one day - youll br like Shit that aint half bad!

For sure. I'm on a bit of a late 80's, early 90's kick right now, and am looking at request for Pearl Jam, RHCP, Alice in Chains, early Metallica, and some softer stuff like Mazzystar, and REM. Be sure to put in a request at: swiftlessons.com/Request_a_Song if you have any suggestions. Thanks!

Truth Seeker Hunger Strike is easy. You can use text tabs or sheet music and figure it out. The hardest part is getting the repetition down.

I was hoping you were going to show the solo verbatim, because I already improvise as it is on the solo, but even though people who've heard me play say I'm on an advanced level, I still feel that I'm just at the intermediate level.

Sweet song dude. You should do a singing lesson on this one too. You sound good!

Thanks Robb, glad you enjoyed the video. I'm hardly qualified to sing this tune... Of course, hardly anyone is! I'll be sure to have some vocal lessons up shortly. Thanks so much. -Rob
