I remember playing hardcore in Diablo 3, had my monk, yes monk, it was very hard, up to some ridiculous paragon. The game lagged out and my monk started loosing a ridiculous amount of health. No potions worked, and I should have been healing close to a million points per second, never played with modded weapons. My health bar didn't go up, and I was stuck with a weak ass monster hit me like 5 times and I died. Everything gone, 2 years of constant playing, endless hours of farming for items with ridiculously low drop rates. Had a few in my stash but the rest I had on me. Gone, game lag/glitch who knows. Then I went to the gym after that, I weighed 135 lbs, now I weight 210 with 14% body fat and I'm in the best shape of my life. Got a great job, and have an awesome career now that I'm more proactive in the real world. Can't believe how much damn time I lost to a stupid game. Sheesh, to all those still playing, do what you gotta do. But me personally, dying and losing a character in a video game was the best thing that could ever happen to me. Made my life better in my opinion.
