i'm 22 now but i used to spend my time in hs drawing ≈ on my wrist pretending i just came from a swim deep gig somewhere in the UK. still want that tattoo to this day haha. finally saw them 2 years ago. i went with my ex, the very same guy who gave me a vinyl of where the heaven are we in 2015, and the one who became my boyfriend on the way home after that festival, so that day was pretty iconic. missin zack and higgy but i still root for them all

Baby This chorus is really catchy and at first glance i thought it was pretty meaningless but I like it a lot and I think it evokes a lot of thought. I think it's talking about reality and our dreams. A girl is with a guy and she's upset about it somehow. And when he sings "Don't Just dream in your sleep it's just lazy" he means that in relationships we have a perception of what love and relationships should be but it's "lazy" to make an idea of what love is without really knowing what it is, and experiencing what it is. And when he sings "Are we having a fight, or are we dazing" I think he's saying that she's not really mad at him for doing anything wrong, she's only mad at the false perceptions of love that her and society have implanted into her and everyone else's brains. Great song, really digging it

I honestly can't get into most of this band's music. Just don't like it that much. But.....this song is impeccable. It has an awesome late 80s/early 90s British shoegaze dream-pop vibe. Similar aesthetic feel to something like The Stone Roses "I Wanna Be Adored."
