What did you use for a tether? And how did you construct the wood around the pool? I have the same pool in the US. Intex Prism 8ftx16ftx42ft. Water is 39 inches. Bestways makes a similar version.

We have tried some different randoms stuff combined together. Most important is that it’s a bit flex in the robber so you don’t reach the maximum flex when you swim

Nice form guys! I bought one of the round ones on sale, 15x30". Do you use you tri watches to count strokes and such? do you use Pool mode or Open water? I assume the distance would be 0 lol.

Use open water without GPS. Mainly just to get it into TrainingPeaks. Ain’t looking too much at these numbers as it’s different anyway from normal swimming

Why do you record the swimming hr?. Is there any specific reason or just more data means better analysis after the session? 👉🦵💪

For swimming I normally record the times so it’s going into TrainingPeaks. Then I adjust the correct distance per session afterwards

I just posted the same and googled it. It seems that what I found out is the best way, "I'd go for open water swimming with GPS off. You won't get distance, but at least you'll get time and stroke metrics." So I will make a new Profile on my 735XT and copy open water profile and turn off the GPS. Like they said, no distance, but SPM and other metrics are what I am after. I am still learning to swim, just figured out proper breathing before the pools closed. Swam 4 laps of an 18m pool in Florida the day before being evacuated back to Canada.

Now it’s not your question... 😅 but last time a swam a proper event where in 2011 when I was 17yo and I did 16:45 for 1500(25m pool). Think my PB is from that split. Guess I could swim a bit faster when I’m in shape now( not now now as all pools has been closed 😅)
