I live on the west coast of Sardinia, which hosts one of the most desirable beaches known to the island, Is Arutas. It is a "pebble" beach, not in that it is rocky, but that the sand is little rice shaped/sized grains of quartz! They are smooth, and colorful, and an absolute marvel. Every year, tourists are fined thousands of euros for trying to steal the "sand", it's THAT beautiful! Anyway, after going to a beach where the "sand" just rolls off of your body, I'm spoiled, and despise sandy beaches where everything clings and sticks and gets mucked up into your lotions and oils. Don't hate on pebbly beaches just yet, until you've experienced them all!

So so jealous! You guys are well and truly underrated! Fun, adventurous and completely down to earth! Please don't change when you become huge (which you will). Far to many travel youtubers end up in high end hotels and restaurants which the majority of us can never afford.

We visited Puglia in 2018 and prebooked (in Oct 2017) our spot at Grotta Palazzese in beautiful Polignano a Mare. To say the least the experience was Amazing, the ambience, the food, the view, the surroundings and I'm pleased to report they are not pretentious at all. There were couples, private party group, groups of 4-6 seated all around up and downstairs in the grotto. A tip its cheaper at lunchtime and if you go at night book the second seating so you can stay as long as you want. Polignano a Mare has everything, historic centre, beaches, grottos and as beautiful as it looks. We stayed 5 nights at Sassi di Matera and recommend it highly especially if you are a historic buff. Thank you for bringing these wonderful memories to us. Our trip this year was cancelled and we are living it through your videos :)

Have you been to Orvieto? Thats then one I stumbled upon by chance. Go see the duomo. The facade i fantastic but the paintings on the walls and the ceilings in one of the chappels inside are breathtaking. Those places are not “secret”! everyone in Italy knows it and I can’t understand why visitors, especially from the US doesn’t know their existence. I think most first time travelers always focus on the major spots like Rome, Florence and Venice. I don't think I have ever met any first time travelers that are willing to skip out of those other major sites for the south of Italy and unfortunately, many will only be able to travel once to Italy. There are so many lovely areas in Italy to see and the south is most definitely a must for us, so after a few years of saying we need to travel there, we finally booked our holiday for next year in June and cannot wait to explore this spectular region. 3 nts in Martina Franca and 3 nts in Lecce. From there, we are heading to Tropea for some relaxing time at the beach.

I am a pebble beach enthusiast! First off no crumpy sticky sand everywhere on your body, and secondly, the water shore is always so much clerarer, due to not so much sand being moved around by the currents. Admittedly, on the feet, sand is at first more agreeable, but that is until you put your shoes back on leaving the beach!
