We find cruising the perfect way to see far off places. I’d suggest waiting until baby is older, and able to visit the kid club opportunities. A newly walking baby is the hardest stage.

I'll BE honest. You are living a rich people life. You got out of britain and went to a place where ONLY The rich go. You will be looked upon has that. And from what i can See there's not much integration. Trust me you should speak more with other people. Learn Portuguese has it's now your native language. That's what Migrants do. They go and live like the Others. Portugal is a cool place but it has a lot of issues. Especially of Outsiders buying Houses and raising the prices of everything else. That will make the locals mad. Everywhere. You can See that With London. In fact in a Lot of places in GB. The place Looks nice but you need to Work in what you're Doing. You are rich. Get more Into the Community and Help. Don't give money. Work. It's that simple.

If it was me I would buy sheets of white paneling and I would just cover up the entire room with paneling except possibly that beautiful tile on the wall where the stairs used to be. Just leaving leave a little of it. Or not. But the paneling will cover any defects It’s cheap it’s easy and it’s fast. ❤ LA

The dark paneled room is a nice space. I have painted paneling. It turned out fine. But I think it could be interesting to see what behind it. Maybe later. You could paint one wall and brighten it up. Use it as an another bedroom for guest / office. Because now the kitchen I believe will be plenty large enough for a table and chairs for you guys and guest. It’s really a nice space. I thought it was just the 2 bedrooms entry room and kitchen. But to have that other room is fantastic. I think you could learn some diy stills. If you wanted to save a little on restoration. This house was a good investment. You will not regret it. ❤ LA

Could you give us an idea of what taxes are on homes in Italy. In the US it varies greatly. If you have a mortgage it comes out of the escrow included in a monthly note. If it’s free and clear you pay taxes annually. I find it all very interesting. One of my colleagues who I worked with before i retired had 2 children move to Italy. She always looks so happy in her photos while visiting them. I’m unable to travel long distances due to a disability. But I would love to see other countries. I do travel in the lower 48. The USA has a lot to offer. And I enjoy that. It’s not too difficult to travel. I’m getting ready to visit my youngest who is a doctor doing a residency program in another state. And that makes traveling really worthwhile to go see my children. I’m enjoying all your videos! ❤ LA

I left a message on your last video about doing a camp kitchen. It made me so happy to see you do that. It buys you time and will provide great meal 🥘 while you work. enjoy your new home. It’s such a cool place ! LA

I have a suggestion. A nice little corner table that fits right there at the corner of your railing where you don’t like the tiles. A great place to have a little catch all table for a bowl to catch keys. But really it’s such a beautiful room I don’t feel like it would be noticeable. But then again if it bothers you it’s an easy cover up. I bought one of those little corner tables at a flea market. But I believe ikea sells something modern that will fit in a corner. Kitchens can be very simple. We used a cabelas camp kitchen for a long time. It was perfectly adequate. And I use a table top oven called a Nu wave oven. I love it ! I’ve had it over 10 years. But recently they have come out with amazing countertops ovens. It would be a good investment because you could get it cheap $100 and have the ability to bake anything. It would help you to have hot meals while you work. I personally would just get a long folding table, put a small counter top oven on it. A water dispenser with a plastic basket to wash up. A tiny burner to cook in a skillet like butane or propane burner. That’s all you need except a small refrigerator and small table a chairs with a high chair. You could make meals and wash dishes and be able to use your kitchen with just those things. That way you can focus on the rest of your home. Save up and you’ll have time to decide on what you will want for a permanent kitchen. If you put a could have those plastic drawers under the long folding table it will hold silverware , dishes, Dry goods. It’s only a temporary solution but it could provide you with many happy meals together as you dream about what the future holds. Rome was not built in a day. So just relax get what’s needed to make meal. And enjoy being together at home. One day you will have a gorgeous kitchen to match the rest of your home. I hope this helps. I know what it’s like to just need to function and to wait. It’s always better to wait. Really give yourself time. Your son will never recover that you cooked on a folding table or washed up in a plastic container. He will only remember that he was home with mom & dad having meals in his beautiful childhood home. ❤LA

My husband and daughter moved her into her apartment that’s up a couple flights. I know you can do it, just get light furniture. lol really the only issue was her mattress. Because it’s bulky. But they did it. So I know you will manage with your wonderful friends to help. Paint and plaster and tiles are really all easy things so you will have a gorgeous home. So smart to buy it. Like I mentioned in another video we have 5 homes. From a dry cabin on a homestead to a big house in the suburbs to a condo in a major city to an apartment at the beach to our country house. I love every thing about all of them. But my dry cabin is really my favorite. It’s 420 square feet. It’s in 12 acres near a river. And each place has its own special feel. But soon we are selling several properties and retiring in a beach town. We are no spring chickens so I pray the lord gives me strength. But it’s very exciting. I’m very excited for you. You are doing everything right. So don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You will not regret buying property but if you change your mind you can always sell. God bless your beautiful Italian home. It’s a real Gem 💎 ! LA

Agree with live there & then make changes. That furniture is beautiful real wood, not that cheap press IKEA board stuff. I have an Italy home and the bits that are real wood are definitely appreciated a little more that the IKEA modern ones. All are appreciated as our place was turn key. FYI in parts of Italy Mainland, water is shut off due to limited quantities. It happens in mountains near Potenza every couple of years. We have spare flush water storage.

Home/travel schooling an only child is incredibly hard, on the child. Think long and hard, if you don't have any other children, about it before doing it. From a former homeschooling mom of an only child.

I love Sarah and Luca, but I still can't believe they would let people do this very dangerous job without providing safety glasses! It just feels weird to me! Or, were they offered and declined? In addition to having permanently damaged Alex's vision, they could end up with a nasty lawsuit on their hands. Were waivers offered and signed?

wow, unending smiles in this video - so healthy for just you two to get away and edify each other as a couple, it not only strengthens your relationship, but your energy for the big job of parenting. Yes, I really enjoyed this video. See how much you two just tuned into each other was really nice. Alex, you are right, that pull of Vanlife can be a strong one. We are embarking on full time travel (after selling our newly built home).
