Can I just say, as someone who has grown up swimming in rivers and creeks, the Nile is surprising clear water lol. I love being able to see something outside of a tourist spot. That shot of the river from the desert is amazing!!!! It's more beautiful there than I ever imagined

Crocodiles have been blocked from the nile in Egypt since the High Dam was built in Aswan . And it is cold cuz sun can't effect but the upper layer of the water which is nothing more than a couple of feet . Also it depends on the location , the visual here won't be the same as a kilometer ahead .

That's the way it is in the desert. Once it's past 105' any wind can fell like it's coming from a blast furnace. And the water will feel colder, even if it's not. But the Nile is moving so fast, and I think it's deep, adds up to cold.

I was thinking the same thing. Back in my days of swim team we had to stay in the water on cold days to keep warm, because the air was the enemy. I feel like the Nile probably is naturally cooler, but the air difference would definately exaggerate the feeling.
