I've used Kiwi a few times and luggage was never transferred between the two tickets that Kiwi put together. Egypt Air and Turkish Airlines are partners through Star Alliance, so they are able to send luggage all the way through. Had your second flight been a non Star Alliance or non partner airline, Kiwi would not have been able to arrange the baggage situation and you would have had to recheck your bags.

I am watching a Ryanair flight from Wroclaw Poland to Dublin. Unfortunately if seems to only be going up in price but found the same flight today through kiwi for £10 less is this possible. Our is there a catch with kiwi

You are right with the bags situation, transfer was only possible because Egypt Air and Turkish Airlines are both in Star Alliance... Nothing to do with Kiwi. Also, if the first flight was late, you have to contact kiwi for rebooking for the second flight and they do it for free only if the flights you bought are with "kiwi guarantee", if not, its all on you. Also, even if there is kiwi guarantee, its very hard to get new ticket... And for airlines you have two separate tickets and they will not take care of you... So beware. :)

Your flight from Aswan to Cairo was so much nicer than mine 40 years ago.....the flight before ours cancelled and the combined two flights into one. I stood in the aisle for the entire flight including take off and landing!!! I so look forward to your videos, and reliving my adventures of traveling abroad!

I can totally relate to the comment about fresh air after leaving Cairo! Beautiful city but that smog is intense!! If you plan on coming back to the states from Istanbul be prepared for a long security process. We hit about five security screenings from the door to the airplane.

We used Kiwi while we were in Istanbul this past August. Can honestly say it was pretty good we saved money and our luggage made it with us. We literally just left Turkey

Damn, I did expect to see a few familiar places in Aswan, not just the airport. But then I realized that a visit at Gebel el-Silsila is way more impressing than the unfinished obelisk, and a six-day Nile cruise makes a four-hour sail around Elephantine island feel like a coffee break... Now, after watching a good amount of the 100 countries, I'm a new subscriber - happy to follow your new adventures and van life. Thanks for sharing your adventures!

Great video guys, nice broll at the start. You can book a ticket from Point A to Point B on any booking engine and if you are on the same ticket, you don't have to worry about bags unless you are entering a country and flying within that country. Most airlines have interline agreements for bags in which if your flights are on the same ticket, your bags will go through. So you don't necessarily have to use the booking engine you referenced.

I hope you will explore more of Turkey then only Istanbul. I recommend you to visit Pamukkale and Efes. These places are so nice. Also in the area of Antalya is much to see. A must see there is the famous Turkish dance group called Fire Of Anatolia in Aspendos.

If you guys come again to Istanbul, I recommend to stay somewhere else than in the old town area. Beyoğlu, Şişli and Kadıköy are trendy neighbourhoods with amazing selections of restaurants and cafes and great transportation connections to everywhere in the city!
