A lot of Australians have salt water pools, which self dose using a system similar to the one you are using, a salt cell, a few bags of salt, and a drum of acid are much cheaper than chlorine and other associated chemicals.

I like the system that you're using the fact that the pumps are contained within the unit and not separate. I'm about to remodel my pool and I'm looking into automatic feeders. What is the company that makes this and is it available in the US I wonder? I'm looking for a system that will do chlorine as well.

Nice work nicole!one thing i am worried about is that the injection valve for chlorine and ph are 20 centimeters away from each other.mixing liquid chlorine and muriatic acid at the same time would lead to chlorine gas which is deadly stuff.have you taken that into consideration?

EPS systems will never dose two chemicals at the same time to prevent mixing of chemicals.

Is there any fail safe with this automatic system? For instance the probe fails or the pump keeps pumping acid or chemicals into the pool?? How is there a protection for this system? Here in texas a local pool had automatic dosing and the pump failed to shut off dosing, and some people came to swim and got burned by the chemicals.

Terrible! To be honest I am not sure if there is a fail safe. I need to check the manual. However, the dosing is going relatively slow through a small tube only every 10 minutes. I check the pump almost every day or two and probably would notice something strange, like the small wheels of the dosing system keeping on going. Also the smell of the chlorine would be alarming I guess. Anyway, I am still very happy with this system!!

Hey Nicole! Thank you for interesting video! You can use hydrogen peroxide for water purification, it's a popular method in Russia. It should be 30% hydrogen peroxide and consistency is like 800-1100 gram hydr. perox. for 1 m3 water. For example, I use about 20 kg for a 22m3 water pool. Then you should wait 1 day and then you can use your poll. This method safe the water probably 2-3 month water pollution.

Unfortunately, there are no good probes for reading chlorine levels when using recommended levels of stabilizer (cya). This is the problem major companies like pentair have tried to solve with their intellichem solution but without great success.
