We really would not have even checked it out if it was not for Bobby's video's, so hats off to you Bobby and thank you! I think you promoted Thailand and your experiences pretty well. As to the pricks writing the bad stuff here, I wish people would respect America also, speak our language, respect OUR culture, obey our laws, and not burn our flag! Don’t overthink it, just enjoy & just let it be, why complicate life anymore, it’s hard enough at times.. we need more laughter, love, & compassion & sailing in our lives or whatever spins your wheels & makes you happy! Keep up the good work Bobby, I as a female have always preferred Bobby’s narration, intellect, & his beautiful dogs, I love the way he pops in & out of his family home & his straight up in a measured way.. I didn’t see that he put himself first over anyone else, actually the opposite, he was very caring & protective over Megan, especially when she was learning to snorkel.. Go live that dream bobby & you will attract what you give out.. Soak up the sunshine Sailor & don’t absorb the shit pile people have left behind⛵️🌎🛩

Bobby, your videography gets better each and every time. Of course the scenery is beautiful so that helps immensely. You seem to know how to blend the drone video expertly with your hand held gimbal footage. Well done. You have changed my unsubstantiated opinion of Thailand literally single handedly. I would love to visit now. I respect what the animal rights activists have to say about the adolescent elephant and its treatment and suspect you weren't expecting such blow-back on the subject. It is obvious that you love creatures and wouldn't intentionally do any thing to bring harm to them. Best of luck to you on the White Squall and looking forward to seeing your next installment.

I have read a lot of stories of elephants being mistreated so they can be trained to do tricks for money. They even have elephants that can paint. Bob, love following your exploits and adventures, however having seen how well you care for and treat your dogs, (something I genuinely respect in you), I have to voice my concern regarding the elephant. I’ve travelled from my home in Ireland to Thailand on numerous occasions, (Most recently last March), and also from Vietnam when I lived there for several years to assist in the rehabilitation of elephants. There are essentially two types of organizations in Thailand which present elephants to the public, the first being profit making businesses which beat elephants into submission. Research KZbin ‘Elephant crushing’. I believe that young elephant was probably a victim of this, it bowing as a gesture of thanks for the food is nothing but a gimmick which an elephant is trained to do to ‘entertain’ tourists. It is not a natural trait of an animal such as an elephant. Of course the fact that there was a charge of $30 to interact with the elephant is the profit part of the business. Riding elephants is also part of this abusive business. The 2nd type of organization in Thailand which deals with elephants is the elephant rescue/refuge type which pick up the pieces after aforementioned businesses have made their money from animal abuse. I disagree with commentators who use the word ‘Cute’ to describe the actions of the elephant. Similar phrases are used to describe dolphins who pull tourists around swimming pools and ‘pose’ for photographs at ‘Swim with dolphin’ businesses. One only needs to research ‘Taiji, Japan’ to see where these dolphins are taken from , and how they’re trained. Again, nothing cute about what occurs to those dolphins. I’ve been to Taiji to observe and document the cruelty and savagery that occurs towards dolphins. Perhaps reconsider promoting this type of activity in the future, or at least promote and highlight what great work the genuine elephant rescue centers are doing?
@rassabossa45547 жыл бұрын
Well said. That is exactly why I won't visit Thailand. I cannot spend my tourist dollars where animal cruelty is accepted. Just about every animal show involves mistreated animals, including the USA.
@ricgaston65037 жыл бұрын
Exactly how is it different to see an elephant with its leg in a chain than when you see a horse with a bridle in its mouth? Do you think the horse planned its life to be harnessed in that way any more than the elephant? Do you have any understanding of what a bridle does in the mouth of a horse? Do you think a horse WANTS to be bridled? Why does a horse have to be "BROKEN"? Take a look at the mouthpiece of a horse bridle. It is a steel half-loop that puts pressure on the roof of the horse's mouth when you pull on it. Do you think this is something the horse wants any more than the elephant wants chains on its legs? Your comment seems to be about quantity of creatures on the Earth, and not about treatment of those creatures; We got plenty of horses, and not enough elephants in the world. Maybe you never thought about it but there are thousands of creatures that you, and "everyone else", will defend to the death to be protected, while ignoring thousands of others which are being treated even worse than the ones you attempt to defend. I know thinking is difficult, but seriously, should there be horse racing? Should there be dog breeding? Should there be affirmative action?
@pearlofqatar77797 жыл бұрын
Bobby should educate himself before leaving the good ole U.S. of A.While in Thailand never ever give money or even take an interest in the traders of "animal tourism", hell even the government is trying to stamp it out.
@dphotos0077 жыл бұрын
Great response and hopefully he will re edit the video and do a video on elephant rescue places that try to help the animals and not train them to do tricks for money.
@ricgaston65037 жыл бұрын
I am guessing you aren't an American. 40 years of Affirmative Action in America has turned it into a Socialist disaster. Perhaps you aren't aware of how favoring people of "race" over people of ABILITY when considering employees has adversely effected the very operational ability of the United States of America. Oh, and it is about to destroy all of Western Europe. Here is a tiny lesson for you from the words I wrote previously, I hope you can comprehend this. Horses have been forced into slavery since the beginning of time, and they don't understand that they are slaves: They aren't smart enough to know that the bit in their mouth has made them a slave to the creature that controls the bridle. - Most men aren't smart enough to know that the GOV that controls every aspect of their life is controlled by just a few MEN, who want to control ALL people, and are willing to kill most of them to force all those left over to worship them. They do this by promoting the least able, but most socially acceptable into positions of power. Duh, You are one of the horses with a bit in your mouth, and you answer to every pull on your masters' tug at your bridle.Do you really think millions of low IQ brownskin people invading Europe will advance mankind? Eventually, there will be a revolt from the White "race" to save humanity from destruction by the "outsiders".Afterall, White people DID create all of western civilization, and they will eventually TAKE IT BACK.

Trick with a drone is knowing how much to use it (footage), what to use it for and not using it just to lengthen or fill an otherwise no reason video. Some seem that their whole video is just drone views of the same area over and over rather than using it to help tell and complete the story. I think you do a pretty good job of balancing, Bob.

But to say you live a spartan life style is a bit disingenuous don't you think? I have seen some pretty lavish purchases and trips to Walmart where you did not scrimp much like you did in the beginning - not to mention the plane tickets and camera hardware drones, etc. Spartan...I hardly think so. Give respect to your Patreon members man who are funding your not so spartan like style. Just saying. I will keep watching though. I mean who doesn't like hot women.
