Lovely result. A bit surreal, which I like. Very minimalist too which leaves space for the viewer to think. The paper looks very good, even though I tend not to like hot pressed as I like the paper to help me create detail. Your choice of colours is great, I will have to get that dark red from Schminke…. Burgundy I think you said…

Thanks for the wonderful painting and review. I had tried some of the Winsor&Newton cotton paper too, but cold press and in a sketchbook. It's really lovely and I like the texture it has a lot. It's great to hear that the hot pressed works nice too!
