Check Valve Installed Incorrectly For Pool Heater - Pool Equipment Installation Tips

From swimmingpoolste... this video review a pool equipment installation where a check valve has been added (poorly) by a pool owner to protect the heater from chlorine from the salt water cell - unfortunately they put this one in the wrong spot. This pool also has a flat pipe that should be replaced.

Can you do a pump room inspections with an in floor cleaning system and run through proper installation with the in floor?

I live in Ontario now where these are almost unheard of. When I lived in Vancouver and Whistler BC every pool I worked on had an in-floor cleaning system. Not likely that I can get that video for you in any kind of timeframe that will help to solve a problem that you might be having. In terms of proper installation you need to know flow rates that your valve requires and you need a suitably sized pump to run it. All normal best practices apply for both the pump as well as the plumbing. The only real question then is about the zoning layout for teh in floor system. These are easy enough once you have done a few. Basically the system needs to start at the top of the pool and work its way down towards the suction in the floor of the deep end. Try to not put more that 3 to 4 jets on each zone and start with your steps as the first zone and stage each zone such that it will wash all debris from the floor and push it to the main drains. seems correct to me. You need 2 check valves not one.
