Interesting fact: it is recomended to use neon or bright colors like Pink, orange, yellow or red in case you drown because it makes it easier to find your body and save you in time. All the classy colors are okay for a photoshoot or sunbathing. But if you are thinking of swimming make a decision thinking on what is more important to you ;)

Im an autumn and it’s difficult to find warm toned swimsuit but I finally found one in a brick red and it looks incredible on me. Color really can be the deal breaker sometimes.

I'm surprised: you can easily find chocolate brown or kaki green one-piece swimsuit in France. Brick red must be gorgeous (this colour can suit me too as a deep winter).

I'm an autumn also. I think know what you mean - so many swimsuits tend to lean towards highly saturated and bright colors, or just plain black and navy blue, both of which make me look dragged down. I do well in teal and brown, though, and I tend to be more able to find suits in those colors than other autumn colors.

I love your videos and you are very well spoken but IMO it's a bit unfair to classify some bathing suits pieces as ''innapropriate'' in general. I'm sure in many places of the USA and European countries tiny bikinis (thongs, very thin straps, "sexier" pieces) are not that common but in tropical countries we extremely used to wearing and seeing other women wearing them, and it's not considerate innapropriate. In Brazil you could find both the "trashiest" and the classiest woman of your town wearing very revealing swimsuits and it wouldn't really shock anyone

Thank you Aly! I'm a Romantic type and carrying extra weight (UK 16) and I've found that one-piece classic bathing suit in navy, red, or black and white looks great on me, especially if it has a touch of 1950's vibes. Just a touch! AND the fabric must be thick enough.

If shorts are boyish, wouldn’t they look good in gamines? Wouldn’t ruffles look good in romantics, soft gamines and people with ingenue essence? Couldn’t neon colors look nice on Bright Springs and Winters? Also, some people wear thongs precisely because they are thinking of what the tanning marks will look like. I understand that it’s not classy, but it has a use. To not be that extreme, the person could wear something a little smaller on the butt, not a thong, but not covering the butt completely either. (I’m saying this thinking of tanning marks). Also, from what I have seen it’s very veeeeery rare that animal print swimsuit looks classy. 99% of the time it looks quite the opposite 👀 even if it’s a simple print.

I don’t think this is intended to be a Kibbe body type video, it’s more about what swim wear to avoid depending on certain features you may have. You don’t need to consider draping etc with swim suits as you do other clothing

Why does swimsuit have to look classic or classy? I guess if I would go for a fancy holiday ( which I never do) that might make sense but I just take my kids to the pool. Swimsuit is one of the things I don’t mind to have fun color or pattern. One of my favorite swimsuits brands is hallaxhalla and they have fun but quality stuff

3:11 I like both the bikinis. Shorts may look a bit boyish but so what? It's just a different aesthetic, and, besides, adopting some elements from male wardrobe doesn’t necessarily make you less elegant (just think of Audrry Hepburn)

I usually agree with Alyona's takes but this video - not so much. most of the "alternative" swimsuit models/options that she didn't like or said are "not classy" are fun and exist for a reason (how can you hate on shorts??), standard bikinis are very boring and often too revealing

Definitely agree. The green bikini wasn't that bad. The buttons don't make sense but it didn't look back. Ruffles would look really good for a romantic body type and/or ingenue essence.

Yeah I have only watched a few of her videos but this one caught me off guard. Even if I agreed with some of her points (just concerning my personal style) all I heard was “that style is good but not that, not that, not classy enough, not this, definitely not this, more classy, not that either”like… what was even left? I was expecting a less subjective view on the topic, more informative like usual, but it just felt like she was talking about what she would wear or what she finds ‘appropriate’. Some tips were helpful but all in all it felt off.

Lately I've realized she's gotten a bit too much into her view of " everything needs to be classy or you look cheap and dated" . She used to talk about personal expression and having fun. Thx for adding that high waist bottom is good for long legs, short torso gals. Yes. Im balanced but D, thick in middle so I look like I have a short torso but it's actually not. High waist bottoms do look nice on me. High waist everything. Glad you caught that and shared with everyone. Appreciate that you don't miss things.

I dont think I agree with much on this one surprisingly. I feel its overly harsh? Too rigid and only focused around a specific look (classic). I dont think that makes for the best guidelines for the body types since different styles suit different body types right? If not a neutral colour/specific animal print and simple one/two piece what there is left to pick, especially since there was no body type advice, such as "small chest might like ruffles to give bigger effect, avoid if bigger chested". I think that would have made a much more encompassing guide. Alot of the styles not reccomended have modesty features (boy shorts, high waist, etc.) so I dont feel thats perticularly fair or accomidating advice to put them down in such a broad way. I'd much rather of had "if xyz, avoid this one" which there were a few* but far more were not.*

I love the red swimsuit with the crossover design and I also never thought of animal print on a swimsuit but I think done right would probably look amazing! Thanks for the ideas, I always feel self conscious in a swimsuit, so I definitely want to try on some of these ideas! I do agree that ruching situation on a one piece never looks good. I’ve also tried ruffles before and it’s just not good on a chubby person. Probably can work on someone with a small bust. Don’t know why so many don’t like the suggestions. She was totally on point about styles that look cheap and trashy and of course if you want to look like that, why are you watching this video?

Really appreciated your takes on swimwear. I very much agree that some suits are more publicly appropriate over others and I wish more gals dressed appropriately for public places- when in said areas. I think many women seek for attention in a non-classy or cheap way & that is what very skimpy swimsuits express to others.

That's not really a great line of thinking, after all everybody's thresholds for what looks cheap or trashy vary. But there _are_ garments that look worse on people than others. No matter the style someone's going for, there's always ways to get high quality garments that look nice.

@@oliveoil2x You're also talking about society's nudity threshold, which changes according to circumstance and event. A nude spa, for example, or some beaches where it's common to have that style. I'm not aware that anyone is wearing these things to places that are inappropriate or actually being exhibitionist, there are rare exceptions though, and in those cases I agree with you.
