That was a lovely journey & a great visit to Cricklade with its lovely floral displays.

Yes, a lesser known heritage railway. Again lots of interest and loved the attention to detail with the stations. Thank you for watching and commenting 👍

Hello Paul - greetings from Poland Aah!Aah! - another heritage railway vlog. I never knew that the line was ex Cheltenham to Southampton. The diesel loco that pulled you D2152 (03152) had a very hard life in South Wales coalfield. Now she's retired and seems very happy in her new environment. A superb video. Thanks so much for taking me along. Very interesting history about Cricklade and its railway. The still photographs at the end of the vlog were beautiful, made even better by the birdsong you included.

Yes this is one of the lesser known preserved railways here in the South West. I had a lovely day here, and I hope to revisit for a steam day at some future point. Thank you so much. Take care, Paul 👍🙂

Loved the music at the start Paul, what a lovely day out. I hope to get there this year sometime. Keep smiling. Ron

Thank you Ron! Yes, it is a great little railway, and much less known than the likes of the Glos & Warwick's Rly, and the Severn Valley Railway, but none the worse for that. Would be great if they could extend to Cricklade (only 1 mile away now) and down to that Country Park. Well worth a visit. Check out if they are running a steam day, which they will be doing in the summer months. It's an easy journey off the Gloucester-Swindon road from Jct11a M5 - Air Balloon, then turn off, and go through Cricklade towards Blunsdon. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🙂 Cheers Paul

Lovely video, and I have to say also that you have a really great voice for information like this. I watch train journeys from the cab view on Blu-ray that often have a narrator, and as you were talking I was thinking to myself how suited you'd be for professional voice over! No idea whether that is your line of work already, but regardless, enjoyable video, and glad to 'meet' you here and on Twitter - best of luck with channel!

Thank you, you are very kind. A few people have said this to me over the years. No, I haven't ever done voiceover work before - I really wouldn't know how to get into anything professional like that! Yes, I do like watching those cab ride videos too - I find them mesmerising, relaxing and therapeutic in equal measure. Train is my preferred method of travel. I will be including more railway type videos into my KZbin channel content, as well as the other usual things that I do on my channel. Thanks again, Paul 👍🙂

dont need the music natural sound will do
@westcountrywanderings2 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks for comment. I have tried doing many videos with only natural sounds (like my 'The Duntisbornes' one, and my continuing Gloucestershire Woodland series - all still available on my channel), but they have not proved that popular, so that is why I include music. It is difficult striking the right balance to please everyone. Thanks, Paul.
