It was sold for £1 to an Indian Businessman as he promised to restore it many years ago. Unfortunately he left it to deteriorate further. The Council has spent thousands recently to install a new roof. It a great shame that locals can't give their time, energy and expertise to restore this building as the surrounding railway village was restored many years ago. It could become a wonderful asset to Swindon, but such a restoration requires great vision and purposefulness, sadly lacking in these times of greed and profit. Personally I would love it to be restored on the outside facade and inside made into a self sustaining interior using modern technology to provide a free to run housing project for a keen group of innovators and creative thinkers to focus on passing on skills to younger generations. In short an off grid living space within an urban environment.

I'm the great-grandson of a GWR sign painter. I would love to have the opportunity to help restore this building, but the council is happy to let it rot and I would be arrested for trying to restore it myself. Instead I am trying to bring some culture and self respect back to this town by encouraging the artists and creatives I know to work together. It's a tough job and there is 0 support from services in Swindon. It's a crime really.

Go watch videos on chernoybol and then see why i say my home town of Swindon is twined with it sadly the mps of this town are raking the rates of rents up in this town for business owners to stay you go through Swindon town centre and i bet you cant find more abandoned shops then people its sad really as the 34 years ive lived here this town has gone to turn out like this

I like the fox that's died and dried out. I study animal bones. Conditions must have begin right for it to do that there prob not begin a lot off moisture
