the factory brushed finish looks immaculate! I opted to get some parts I couldn't clean up satisfactorily hydro blasted and was very impressed with the finish. Your making me wish i gave it the brushed finish though! keep churning out the videos, its a great way to beat the youtube algorithm and let more people see what your doing

I'm trying to get my '08 Rm back to factory spec after the previous owner converted it to an enduro machine. The decals are exorbitantly priced so I drew the originals from scratch in a vector program and just need to get them printed now. I recommend making your own up and save heaps. Great videos, going to go back over them and see them all, thanks for sharing, brilliant job.

I found your videos just the other day and have been binge watching ever since. This thing will be a brand new 1992 RM 250 but in the year 2018 incredible !!! How are you able to source all those factory parts? Must cost you a small fortune !!. I really cant wait to see the end product. I loved this couple years of the zook, but really hated those funky ass graffix. Please keep up the GREAT work !!!

MrFarscape40 thanks for watching! Yes the parts cost a lot and some are hard to find but hopefully the end result will be worth it.

Just in the middle of binge watching your videos, fantastic eye for perfection. Dread to think how much money you’re spending on original Suzuki parts. Now onto the next episode 👍

Just a future tip for suspension set up. Keep all pivot points loose, once assembled hop on the bike and bounce suspension up and down. This allows all parts to move and settle in their alignment before tightening these bolts.

Wow that swing arm looks amazing, it’s great to see how you make your own tools for parts you need to install or remove as well, nice work. Do you use anti seize on bolts you may have to remove from time to time.

Subbed! I had a (UK) 92' in 1994. Such nostalgia seeing all the familiar parts. Amazing how my sub frame never bent, I went through a few rear mudguards back in the day! Man I'd love to own one of these again, but I'm well aware of my mortality these days, I know how easy it'd be to snap my body lol. The really awesome thing about this, is a young engineer/mechanic bringing it back to it's former glory. I'm pretty OCD too when it comes to doing the things I love, it's the only way to be. I'm so looking forward to seeing the end result. Sterling work! :o)

Awesome job and attention to detail. I’m restoring my 89 RM250 and find your videos far superior to anyone else’s. I love the old RM’s. They’re a beast! Between moves I’ve misplaced my rear axle bolt and don’t want to pay $100 for a new one.. suggestions to get replacement? eBay?

Really nice work!! I love your videos! But you forgot to put loctite on the outside of the helicoil, this way you get a better attachment and the helicoil wont ever come loose. I don't think it'll be a problem in this case.. but it's better to know!! 🤙😁 Please go on with these beautiful restoration!!!

I have a KX450F and the previous owner sprayed the frame and swing arm black. Some of the paint is coming off. Would you recommend just paint stripping to or sand blasting? I have just found a place in Hong Kong that does sand blasting so its an option now. With sand blasting, is there a special coating I need to spray onto the aluminium to stop it corroding? Thanks Richard.

Fantastic. I rebuild my 2004 YZ250 and want to refurbish the swingarm to factory look as well. Brushing it to get OEM look will be no problem but I would like to anodize it to prevent oxidation. Or do you have any experience how long it will look so new without anodizing?

The swingarm was sent away to Pioneer Finishes to be refurbished. I’m not sure what process they used but I’m guessing the final finish is achieved with coarse grit abrasive paper.
