Picked this up on Black Friday deal for $349 from rockbottom golf. Solid unit, easy to use and app is good, very intuitive and straightforward. Not a lot of bells and whistles you get with R10 (like ball path slice/draw or simulation) but gives you basic data. Accuracy is pretty good, it did struggle with apex on some shots and yardages did have some variance here and there. That being said I wouldn’t pay the regular price of $499 for this unit so I’m glad I paid what I did.

Great review and accurate assessment. I picked one up 2 months ago used every week 100 balls at the range only had to charge it up this weekend. The app is pretty good but a couple of annoyances. You can't scroll through your swings you have to select one, view it, then return to the main list. Gets a bit boring with 100 to view. Second is the video recording is paused after 2 minutes. If you are working on your swing changing club etc and it times out you don't know unless you look at the screen and if you are using the main phone camera the screen is not facing you. They should allow you to disable this or put an audible beep to say recording is paused. Stinger shots seem to have not much accuracy other than that it's as the review says. You can export the data via email and analyse in a spreadsheet but there is a bug so you will need to fix the sheet first. Great for a beginner at the range to record your swing to see where you're going wrong and get a better idea of what distances you are getting with each club. Would buy again. Swing Caddy update your app!

Can you set up different user profiles with this? Like if you and your friend want to alternate and keep track of your 7 iron shots respectively, can you do that without mixing the data?

I was thinking about getting the flight scope mevo because I need one that I can change for elevation when I play different courses so I know my exact yardages. But I just went to there website to check out the reviews and now I’m not sure about the mevo. What launch monitor do u recommend that can change for different elevations or altitudes thanks

I know this video is a couple of weeks old already, but I am hopeful of getting some feedback to help me decide on a purchase. Ultimately, I want to know how much value does the SC300i bring if all of your range sessions are using range balls? I'd like to pick up either a SC300i or a Mevo to dial in my distances and also track them as I implement changes to my swings and fitness to track my improvement. However, if all I am hitting is range-balls of varying quality, I wonder how useful the data I get from an SC300 or Mevo will be. I like the idea of having one of these, but if the data isn't valuable I'd rather not waste $500. Any thoughts on this?

I have found the data to be useful, especially if you know you're comparing apples to apples on the range. So if you're using range balls for every session, it makes it easier to adapt those numbers for use on the course. If this is a major concern you might look at the Mevo Plus which will compensate for the type of balls you're using.

It is good to know the data will still be something I can work with, especially as I try to work on a more structured practice path. Ideally I'd love to know my yardages more precisely, and maybe I'll get there someday, but for now anything which allows me to round to the nearest 5-10 yards is fine. And if I can sort of convert the information I am getting on the range to the course, that is all I need. Thanks again. I see I have a new video to watch :)

Range balls are notorious for not going as far as your regular gaming ball due to their built in limited flight characteristics (double cover, dimple pattern, etc) so the yardages at the range are never true. Range sessions should be a place where you work on your swing or strike and dispersion more than anything.

Yeah for that price it's a solid easy way to make the range more fun and get some general yardages. There's more feature packed devices under $500, but for the ease of not having to use an app - this is great.
