Thank you for another very informative video. This happened to easyjetsimpilot on a vatsim flight from Berlin to Copenhagen a few nights ago. It was a last-minute instruction from a very irate ATC 😢. So it can happen even in the virtual world, so it's nice to know how to deal with it the right way. Thank you. Your videos are very good. You have a very calm and clear way of teaching a topic. So well done, Sir, and thank you for your time and keep the videos coming I am learning a lot. 👏👍

Only seen it referred to as the "side-step" approach before, nevertheless thanks for the great video captain!
@fsclips16 күн бұрын
I think that's the term they use in the US. I fly in Europe and here all manuals call it side-step. Hope this helps.

Wow, i've never seen this kind of approach before... This is absolutely a meaningful video. And I also want to try it someday. Thank you, captain!

Excellent! I had no idea that swing over approaches happened, let alone how to perform them. I always learn something new in every one of your videos! Keep up the good work! Please!

Impressive. Great to learn about. Complete novice, but even I was able to understand the process and system. Thank you.

Could I please ask if you could do a video on completing the Init fuel page. The values in the flight plan are not the same in the MCDU. I know it is easy to send all the values from the flight pad but I would like to understand them and enter them manually. Also I would like to understand how you calculate what extra fuel to load and why and what the CNR is all about and where do you enter it. Hope you can do a video and I would like to thank you in advance your videos are excellent. 😊

Nice work! Why don’t you fly on Vatsim?
@fsclips16 күн бұрын
Since I fly in the real world I do a lot of messing around in the sim. Not sure Vatsim controllers would be happy with that 😊

Thank you very much, captain! Very interesting. One question - should we change the order of points in the secondary plane after it is activated, so that the plane understands what the next point is?
@fsclips16 күн бұрын
Yes, you can. You could set a direct to to the rwy. In the real world the newer aircraft will do this automatically. When you engage a go-around and they detect you flying over the runway they will sequence the flpln by themselves

Is it possible that you are working for Eurowings? Düsseldorf is the homebase of them and you posted a picture with a plane that had an regestration belonging to Eurowings. Greetings from Düsseldorf

@@mineymine581 I fly there a lot, but I am based in PMI.

You should fly on vatsim, and do lives! 😁 It would be really really great!

Maybe one day. I know nothing about VATSIM. Wouldn't even know where to start

@@fsclips you’re an irl pilot. Vatsim will be easy for you :) But it will be a higher workload as you’re alone.

After you established on the 23R and activated the sec FP, i did not seen a GA on the ND. Is that correct?
@fsclips15 күн бұрын
@@rickpostma7932 Yes. The Fenix A320 is simulating an older software version. In this aircraft you would have to also do a direct-to to the next point for the flight plan to be sequenced. Most newer Airbuses are now clever enough that they will sequence themselves if you fly over the runway after engaging a go-around. Hope this helps.

What would happened if you activate the secondary while on autopilot? Since the plane is still in approach mode wouldn’t it just pickup the new ils and swing over by itself?
@fsclips14 күн бұрын
No, it would revert to basic modes (HDG/VS) because the approach it is flying is no longer active. It is a bit like when you sequence a flpln with the approach armed. I talked about this in one of my other videos. Hope this helps

@@fsclips I see, that makes sense.

Please do a visual approach tutorial for US ops in MSFS, as the tutorials I’ve watched so far are not clear enough for my liking.
