Warning! Long comment, lol. When u said at around the 4:45 mark...that it feels good to straighten the arms back out, but makes it more difficult as the hips turn. BINGO! I always thought in order to simplify the mechanics, just return the arms/hands to the position at address. People tell me I have a pretty swing and I hit it pretty good but...I struggle with consistent accuracy. I couldn't see it in tutorial vids. I think because when the instructor would imitate casting, flipping, etc.; it was always soo pronounced that I'd say "that's not me, thats obvious!" However, you are the first to show or speak to the subtle flaw I was making. You didn't make a big dramatic gesture. Thank you! Thank you. That crucial moment when you square the club in my opinion is the real magic ingredient. Squaring it longer doesn't require so much timing. Gotta tell you. I just got back from the range. I'll admit its just one session, hasnt been course tested. However, the results were great. Just subscribed.

Alex I saw your short video on the low hands a few days ago and it was exactly what I was looking for as I’ve been working to move my low point forward and hit the ball then the turf. I hit balls today after a few reps of the low hands and I was hitting more consistently than ever. Loving your videos as I watched several more and now I’m not strangling the club either(supple hands and wrists) which is making my swing so much more effortless. This video described me perfectly with getting the right elbow into the body but then getting stuck and having no room. Can’t wait to try the low hands half swing at the range tomorrow. Thanks for the great lessons

The biggest thing that helped me understand this concept (credit to Mike Malaska....) is that gravity is pulling the club head toward the ground when you swing. It's even more the faster the swing. I always chunked out, got into some bad habits. Starting to pull out of it, but it's difficult. Your channel is just fantastic and I will try to work these lessons into the range.

Useful video. After working on my AoA exclusively for a while I sensed that this made me hitting at the ball too much. As always with this funny old game at some point the better AoA was sort of drilled better into my swing so I didn't really have to think much about it, I found that the best way to get rid of hitting 'at' the ball too much was focusing on hitting the top speed of my swing after the ball. Does that make sense as well? Not sure if it does, I fear I am terribly feel based. (PS: I already have low hands, and am able to keep the trail elbow close to my chest, which was a tip I picked up from a golf magazine years ago way before KZbin got loose on channels like these). PPS: 'being more experienced in life'..... LOL

Alex today at the driving range I practiced your idea of keeping the butt of the club pointing towards my stomach , for as long as possible on the backswing. Doing that makes it not possible to be keeping the right elbow by my right side. I hit 80-90 golf balls with just my driver, 3 wood, and 5 wood. Maybe 5-7 we’re tired poor strikes of the golf ball. But most importantly I found a comfort zone with my driver 3&5 woods. Almost entirely the strikes had a draw. Maybe now I can work on a fade.

No. Not if your intent is through and straightening past the ball. The elbow will be a little bent at impact but also depends on rotation and spine tilt too.

@TheArtofSimpleGolf3 жыл бұрын
It’s on an arc towards the target
@puttipongchavapong19943 жыл бұрын
@@TheArtofSimpleGolf Thank you for your replied , sorry that my first question is not clear enough. For me wording "Going through" can be separated in 2 motions; 1.) The Body: going toward the target as your answered above. 2.) The club path: need to go along the "Arc", which means going "Left" of the target after impacted. Did my understanding above are correct? (Sorry to bothering you, but I asking for benefit of all your follower. Because many people are confusing the wording "Going Through". They tried to send the club path to the target and end up with pushed slice (in case of passive hand) and duck hook (in case of active hand). So, I think wording "Going through" is a bit dangerous.
