Swing trading is a style of trading in financial markets where traders aim to capture short- to medium-term gains by holding positions for a period ranging from a few days to one month.
Unlike day trading, which involves executing multiple trades within a single day, swing trading allows traders to take advantage of price "swings" or fluctuations over a slightly longer time horizon.
Here's how swing trading typically works:
Identifying Trends: Swing traders analyze price charts and technical indicators to identify stocks, currencies, commodities, or other financial instruments that are exhibiting strong upward or downward trends.
Entry and Exit Points: Once a potential opportunity is identified, swing traders look for optimal entry and exit points. They aim to buy at or near the bottom of a price swing during an uptrend and sell at or near the top of a price swing during a downtrend.
Managing Risk: Risk management is crucial in swing trading. Traders often set stop-loss orders to limit potential losses if the trade moves against them. They also calculate their risk-reward ratio to ensure that potential profits outweigh potential losses.
Technical Analysis: Swing traders rely heavily on technical analysis to make trading decisions. They use various technical indicators, such as moving averages, MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence), RSI (Relative Strength Index), and chart patterns to identify entry and exit points.
Fundamental Analysis (Optional): While swing trading primarily focuses on technical analysis, some traders also consider fundamental factors such as company earnings, economic indicators, and market sentiment to supplement their trading decisions.
Position Sizing: Swing traders carefully manage their position sizes to control risk. They typically risk a small percentage of their trading capital on each trade, ensuring that no single trade can significantly impact their overall portfolio.
Monitoring Positions: Once a trade is executed, swing traders closely monitor their positions, adjusting stop-loss orders and profit targets as needed based on market conditions and price movements.
Taking Profits: Swing traders aim to capture a portion of a price swing's potential gains. They may exit a trade entirely when their profit targets are met, or they may scale out of a position by selling a portion of their holdings while letting the remainder ride if the trend continues.
Overall, swing trading requires patience, discipline, and a thorough understanding of technical analysis techniques. While it can be lucrative, it also carries inherent risks, and traders must be prepared to accept losses as part of the trading process.

Traditional RSI bearish divergence - Price makes HH, RSI makes LH. It implies price should go down. But this is contrary to price action. Traditional bullish divergence - Price makes LL, RSI makes HL suggesting buy. But this is against direction of trend Hidden RSI bullish divergence - Price makes HL, RSI makes LL

Hi Sir, Iam a INTRADAY TRADER OPTION BUYER I TRADE ON BREAKOUT IAM VERY CONFUSED ABOUT TIME FRAME SHOULD I TRADE IN 1 MIN OR 15 MIN TIME FRAME? NIFTY TRADE 🤔
@indrazith1

1 min is too short timeframe. Also you should know time decay works against us in options buying (in weekly expiry). 5-10 min timeframe is ok

@@indrazith1 Sir I have already watched this video but the main issue is when i am looking to apply this strategy on screened stock it has already shown rsi-divergence much earlier and moved a lot in previous 7-8 days. My question is that how to find stock for yours Swing RSI divergence strategy so that I can capture the momentum earlier.
@indrazith1
@indrazith1 5 ай бұрын
@@nirveds7621 As far as I know there are no screeners to shortlist stocks based on RSI divergence. You need to do it manually or develop your own screener
