I like how it starts out fairly conventional and then just devolves into total chaos. It fleshes out like a vivid nightmare and then ends abruptly as if you just woke up from a vivid melatonin dream. After you watch it and think back on it it, seems almost like your wondering if you really saw it.

@Mossrag7 жыл бұрын
I mean yeah, there’s several reasons for that: The cartoon itself is pretty dark. All the people who wrote/performed this music and voice acted/animated this cartoon are dead. Or maybe it’s the fact that Fleischer Studios went bankrupt, and the fact that common-rights cartoons from failed 80-year-old animation studios scare you.

why did Disney get all the fame and glory? these Fleicher cartoons were so creative, albeit edgy.
@bleepiestofbloops7 жыл бұрын
moonbeast32 Think you answered your own question. Disney was more family friendly. 1934, the Hayes Code was introduced and movies became a lot cleaner, which kinda ruined Fleischer's edgy formula. Betty Boop went from being massively popular to being eclipsed by the other characters in her shorts over night. Could also be that Disney was a studio and brand of its own. Fleischer was just making cartoons for Paramount. Betty Boop and Popeye are still famous characters, but there was no Fleischer Studios brand to put them under the way we consider Goofy a Disney character.
@wratched7 жыл бұрын
Yeah. She had a lot of characters in her shorts... Anyhoo, one problem with Fleischer is that his cartoons were always so topical. Steamboat Willie could be from any time, but Betty Boop could only be a flapper. And this soundtrack, cool as it is, was never going to survive the Jazz age.
@poweroffriendship2.07 жыл бұрын
moonbeast32 For some reasons, why did'nt Disney cooperated with The Fleischer Bros. for new projects (Fleischer created Gulliver's Travel in a more Disney way)? And why do Disney and the Fleischers are rivals in the first place?

@WillieManga6 жыл бұрын
PK Laheat Except that wasn't until the end of their original run... and then they got a revival. Which, by the way, look (The Tom and Jerry Show) how (The Tom and Jerry Movie) fucking (Tom and Jerry and Willy Wonka) well (Tom and Jerry and Wizard of Oz) that (Tom and Jerry and The Beanstalk) turned (Tom and Jerry and Johnny Quest) out. (Tom andd Jerry and Sherlock Holmes) I also forgot Tom went to Hell at some point. D O N ' T Y O U B E L E I V E I T .

Was this the inspiration for Banjo-Kazooie?
@sprouting_lady7 жыл бұрын
I was thinking "that's a hilarious coincidence!" when the chicken started to walk, but then it happened the third time and it even made the weird 'he-hu-he-hu' sounds that Kazooie makes. That is so weird.
@Somethingidk4327 жыл бұрын
this was made in the 30s, Banjo Kazooie was made in the 90s

I'm glad I wasn't the only one thinking that.

Cuphead was made in 2017 and this cartoon was made in the 30's yet MDHR Studios till took this as inspiration for their game. Just because some things weren't made the same year doesn't mean they can't have any connections or ties to each other.

Just remember kids: don't shoot those dice, chase those loose women, smoke that reefer, drink that bootleg hooch, or get caught with your hand in the hen house because those my brothers are all roads to the devil, and if you should find yourself in front of his pitchfork and spade tail then don't even think about gambling with him.
