Hey thanks for the heads up. I bought a 2018 Sport Glide new but haven't riden much due to health issues. I'm doing better and plan to put some miles on, so I will definitely check check it out.

Succinct and eloquently put as always. Good to see you back and that you’ve sorted the issues out. Dealers and warranty… they need to understand their legal obligations don’t necessarily end after the statutory period. Love the T and the thongs in the wee hours of winter, that wouldn’t be happening back home! ☃️

Glad to hear you've got it sorted - frozen bearing and a dud shock? What a double! My 2020 Sport Glide's been generally fine for 32,000km but it's good to know what to look out for. Bizarrely the switch for my front brake had worn down where it touches the lever and had to be replaced, soft plastic? I realised I had a problem when the brake lights wouldn't turn off - never had a worn plunger on a brake switch before.

Great video. I’m going to check my shock and rear bearings tomorrow. By the way, do you have a source for the lower fork mounted deflectors that your buddy modified to put on his bike. I put the 15 inch Gustafsen windshield on and I’m getting quite a bit of head shake and buzzing. Very annoying.

Glad you finally sold the problem, I think I may have the same issue as I've changed the shock but still a hard ride. How much did it cost to get and replace the bearings?

I think $400 AUD from memory. I had a few other things done, so I can't quite remember now. If you've changed your shock and it's still a hard ride, it's the bearings for sure. Get them looked at

@MidlifeSkidLid make sure they inspect it properly. It involves removing the rear wheel to see if the swingarm pivots free. This is the only way to know. The dealership will try to talk you out of doing this...you need to highlight your concerns and say you want them inspected and potentially replaced because it's a hard ride with a new shock

@@RidesForDays Hi, just a follow up, my HD dealer have agreed to inspect this as its due to have a service and pipes fitted in a couple of weeks. Even though my warranty expired a couple of weeks ago they said they would sort it out for me as they know I have complained about the suspension before. Thanks for your video and advice, hopefully I can get a plush ride soon :)

I've just finished working my sportglide shock adjustment up to 5 and back, good tip, thanks. My shock seems to have movement after working it. How did your mate go with the Mustang touring seat? Is he still happy with it, I've been waiting for the au $ to get stonger.

We went for a ride yesterday, and he loves it. Keep your eye on the suspension the minute it starts getting hard I'd get the bearings looked at

Just checked my bearings, yes they are seized , I will be going to my Independent mechanic as this bike was previously always serviced by the dealer and they never found it even knowing its a known problem

You will notice a huge difference when you replace them
