This is incredible. The crazy thing is that no one taught this to these pros. Swing Catalyst wasn’t around then and you couldn’t see this on VHS! They all do something or move in a similar and I’d imagine this is really a byproduct of that move.

Thanks Chuck. I've struggled with a slight ott move for decades and it causes my inconsistency. Finally I think I can start to improve my handpath with this clock idea.

Great illustration using a clock! This move seems so counterintuitive by moving what seems to be down and away from the ball. Also feels like I’m opening the face. I guess repeating this over and over will help this issue? Jay

Either is perfectly doable. Clockwise means the face is open and requires more arm rotation to square the face, anticlockwise eliminates this problem but requires side bend to correct the path.

Was hitting balls into my net and noticed it while using my Liveveiw swing mirror. Caused pulls and pull hooks for me. Doing this type of drill along with turning my right wrist back I have removed the over the top move.

Chuck, is the clockwise movement independent of what you teach in the DEAD drill? In that drill you seem to be implying that the weight shift brings the club into a perfect position independent of any manipulation.

I like the concept but the inverted/reversed clock idea is confusing! Just reverse the terminology and drop the handle counter clockwise! Thanks 🙏🏻

Chuck, it’s immaterial because I know what your describing as correct path, but I still can’t see the clock direction as clockwise going from 12 to 3 if you are looking at the clock over your shoulders). Your clock has me baffled.

pretty good actually.

This problem can’t be fixed like this imo. Good explanation but it will NEVER work if you don’t understand impact and the fact that the hands move inside of the clubhead. Some of this is created by the idea of hitting down maybe, but how can you possible have rotation if you can’t keep the club outside your hands at impact. For me this was also the 💡 to understanding swinging left, the further my hands go left (closer to me left leg) the more compression (control) I have and the club still comes from the inside. Moral of the story: teach people the correct impact position and A LOT of problems disappear.

I don't see any kind of gimmick here. He is just giving mental check point that can actually be a feel that is real. It you don't get the hand/ shaft path correct from the top you don't have a chance at proper impact position

This is a very sad story for me. I believe Chuck is the best swing teacher out there and RST principles the apex of golf technique. I still do. His DEAD drill was exactly that. A "drill to end all drills". It all worked for me like no other. I was utterly perplexed to find he now advocates a "gimmick" based system and has wandered away from his previous "no gimmicks, no secrets" approach. I questioned things when this Axiom thing first popped up and said "no thanks" in the comments section, stating imo what he taught previously could not be bettered. His reply was just "try out the Axiom". My comment and his reply has since been removed, but now I understand why. It appears there has been some unsavoury legal business going on about whose ideas the Rotary system is based on? Personally, I don't care who originated the concepts; I just felt the method is fantastic and that he has the best intellectual grasp of the entire thing to teach the system. Alas, Chuck seems to be tossing away all the respect built up to promote something that is his own and "unique" ...... but just another gimmick! It amounts a retrograde step, and is purely a marketing thing. The unecessary clock face manipulation idea has already been proposed by others, which just leaves the "gimmick" thing with the foot ! It's all getting a little "Count Yogi". I have recommended RST videos to many others in the past. They are still the best distillation of the technique imo, but things seem to have gone quiet on the RST website with only Chris Tyler adding content. Sadly , we in the golf world seem to be the dumbest on the planet!? Every year we are told our equipment is "inferior" and we need to spend a fortune to replace it ; and so many suck that fallacy up and do just that! Golf instruction seems to be going the same way.

Perhaps you should learn about the AXIOM before knocking it??? Just a thought.,.,

Probably well intended but so confusing. Your hands move down and around, not around and down.
