Thank you for taking the time to make this video! So hard finding decent tutorials that show intricate designs. Wish more designers would share their techniques!

I really love this one! Those double curls were not nearly as intimidating as I thought they would be. I made this with a 25x18 rose quartz bead and silver pro-quality Beadsmith wire and I'm really happy with it. Thanks SO MUCH!

This is a beautiful design. Any suggestions for using a carbochan with no holes. I might try using the weaving to go next to the stone. Thanks for the great tutorial...

Great piece! I followed all your instructions; mine doesn't look as perfect as yours :) Had to stop when it came to adding the copper beads as I didn't have any. Wished I'd known before I went shopping for jewelry supplies; but it's not on your list of materials. Will have to get some as it looks great when oxidized. Thanx again; you are a great tutor! :)

just wanted to tell you thank you for your inspiration, your generosity,and sharing your talents. I really enjoy your videos. I have a couple of questions, though. First, when you’re designing a piece how do you know how much wire to cut for your base wires? And secondly, let’s say after you finish weaving a piece (example-bracelet) and you decide you need to add another base wire, how to you do that? Everyone covers adding a weaving wire, but I can’t find in anyone’s books how to add a base wire. Or how to guesstimate how much base wire you need when designing. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I've learned so much from you and have been able to take my wire wrapping to a higher level. I have recently bought some very beautiful large focal beads and would like to know if you would share how best to store them. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
@OxanaCrafts8 жыл бұрын
I usually store things in plastic containers, ones with lots of compartments like Michael's sells. If it is real fragile I would use bubble wrap maybe.

Love your videos u are awesome! But can I suggest that u make some playlists. Like put the basics in one play list and the different wrapping styles ect it makes it much easier to find what I'm looking for.

Hi, Oxana! I love ALL of your videos! Your designs are so pretty! This is my favorite one, and I also love the sideways necklace. :) Can you also show us what you'd do with a regular oval pendant?
@OxanaCrafts8 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I don't understand the question, what regular oval pendant are you referring to?
@themahidevran8 жыл бұрын
Like a cabochon but a single hole at the top for a bail. Such stones are far easier to come by in regular stores than the flat, round ones. I've already checked out the nesting wrapping technique, but I'm looking for something different and fancier. :) I'll be very happy if you have a design to share with us. :)
@OxanaCrafts8 жыл бұрын
Ah, I see. If it is a large stone you could do a tree of life pendant(I have 2 tutorials on this style) and then just cover up the hole with a decorative swirl. Also, if you search for "front drilled bead" you will find what you are looking for, I have 2 tutorials for this type of bead so far. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHfbnGZ9hpepaqc and kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYfIaGSmmdmWick

I've only recently thought about making jewellery and these videos are a massive help and I thank you for sharing them with me/us. Just one question which I've no doubt you've been asked 1,000 times so sorry, what do you treat the copper afterwards to stop the skin from greening up?? Thank you for your time. 👍🏼😊 oh, and can you use the copper from electrical cables/wires??
@OxanaCrafts7 жыл бұрын
yes, I know people use electrical wire copper. Copper does not really turn my skin green, but I know for some people it can. I think this is mostly a problem for rings as they rub against the skin all day. I think there are various lacquers out there you can use to coat it, you can do clear nail polish too probably. Whatever you do it will wear off eventually, and will need to be re applied.
@melh70145 жыл бұрын
My skin turns green from copper, even if its a thin copper chain. I have found that even after oxidation it still turns my skin green. I have not tried this yet, but there is a thin coating you can use, I believe it is called Diamond glaze. Hopefully someone with more experience than me knows. I don't think it works on a chain (not to mention that a chain has a ton of surface area). I use clear polish on the back of some of my designs which works. However, it doesn't last.

Thanks for all your tutorials they are great, started making my own and selling while travelling :) Wanted to ask, do you drill your own gemstones? or do you purchase them drilled already? I notice quite a lot of your tutorials are for drilled stones and they are hard to find for me. Thanks keep it up!

do you have to do something in particular to get the wires (once they have been weaved) to bend into a curve around the stone? Mine seem to be pretty tightly wrapped and therefore pretty hard to manipulate into a curve.
@OxanaCrafts8 жыл бұрын
you could maybe bend them before you weave around them

That copper wire is 18 gauge and 24 gauge. Dead soft 20 is much smaller and 26 does not have that much resilience. Pretty thou.
@OxanaCrafts6 жыл бұрын
Jason Winge I promise you it is not. I can't successfully weave with 24 gauge wire at all. I think because I have very small hands it always makes my wire look thicker than it really is.
