That’s a gorgeous design! Somehow the first word that pops into mind was ‘Sinbad’ 😅 it has a nautical quality that blends in a bit of Arabic lore as well I think. The swirl goes so well with the design of the stone. I think you are so good at finding the right shape for the stones/cabochons that accentuate its features.

I'm trying this with a 1 1/4" round labradorite cab. There shouldn't be too much extra wire used. It's a beautiful swirly pattern. Thanks for explaining everything in such detail. :) Also, I find the Xuron needle nose pliers crack thin stones. It cracked the first round lab cab I had for this project. I wasn't using much pressure.
@OxanaCrafts2 жыл бұрын
I don't really touch the stone with the pliers so I haven't experienced the cracking problem myself, but sorry to hear about your stone cracking, I've definitely broken a few in my years of wrapping by dropping them on the floor and it is always so heartbreaking

You can get special tape to over the ends of the pliers to keep them from scratching metal. It's green, don't know the name. It's saves a lot of time filing & polishing.

Hello Oxana, I wanted to ask can this be done with round wire? I tried and the stone kept coming out 😔 how can I do?
@OxanaCrafts3 жыл бұрын
It is tricky to do with round wire as the round wire is more slippery. Here's one that uses round wire: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZovHmn58qLGDna8

Oxana, how in the world do you get your square wire so smooth and straight and uniform from one piece to the next? Let's say Im beginning a project that has a 3 base wire weave-I can get the beginning part of the 3 wires to lay neat next to each other, but then halfway down one or more will twist/turn. I feel like my projects could be a lot cleaner and neater if I could accomplish straightening the wire properly from the very beginning. Any tips or tricks you have concerning this matter would be very appreciated! Thanks!
@OxanaCrafts3 жыл бұрын
Here's a video I have on straightening the wire, hopefully it will be helpful to you: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIe2fGx4Zt2sjcU
